For this week’s project I really wanted to use something from the Sale-a-bration Brochure. While contemplating all the items you can earn free, I opted for the gorgeous Pool Party & Soft Sea Foam Cards & Envelopes

These Cards & Envelopes are really lovely … you’ll get 10 cards in Pool Party and 10 in Soft Sea Foam and 20 lined envelopes. The best part about this pack is they are FREE with a qualifying order! They have a faint design on the card front which matches the Splendid Thoughts Bundle perfectly.

The Projects

I didn’t want to make the cards too busy so opted for a simple design on top. I’ve used a couple of different rectangle dies to cut my Basic White. One from the Deckled Rectangles Die set and the other is from the Stitched Rectangles Dies.

After cutting out my rectangle I placed one of the Leaf dies from the Splendid Stems Dies and ran it through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss with the rectangle pieces. To keep my leaf in the frame I flipped it over and placed mini Dimensionals over the edges to keep them together and just popped out the centre of the leaves for the card pattern to show through.

Soft Sea Foam Card

For my Soft Sea Foam card I cut another leaf in the Soft Sea Foam and popped that inside the frame for a more defined look.

The Details

The sentiments were stamped in VersaMark, then I white embossed them and cut them out with the Stylish Shapes dies. As the one of Soft Sea foam was a little hard to see I used my blending brushes and Soft Sea Foam Ink to make it pop.

To finish off my cards I added a silver bow using the Simply Elegant Trim and added some of the gorgeous Festive Pearls for a little bling.

Wisteria Wishes Frame

Wisteria Wishes Frame

It’s Saturday again, and time for another FAB Stampers post. It’s my turn again this week, and I’m using the Wisteria Wishes Bundle to make a framed project.

I chose the Wisteria Wishes Bundle for my project today. I really like this bundle. It has images, which can be used as hanging flowers or on stalks, and I like all the sentiments included. You can even save 10% by purchasing the stamp set and dies as a bundle.

Wisteria Wishes Frame

I designed this project for a recent class. It’s 4″ x 6″, a common size in the USA, so it’s easy to find a frame at your local dollar store. You can easily make this to fit any sized frame you may have.

How It’s Made

First, I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 6 and a piece of scrap cardstock to 4 x 6, so that I would have a backing for my project.

I cut a circle using the Stylish Shapes dies, slightly above center. Then, I used the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder to add bricks to my white panel and attached this with Dimensionals to my scrap backing.

Next, I used a Blending Brush to add Highland Heather ink to the circle I had cut from the Basic White panel. I stamped the sentiment on the circle in Gorgeous Grape ink, and used Multipurpose Glue to adhere it into the hole on the white panel. Glue is the best choice for this because you have a little time to get it just where you want it before it sticks.

Wisteria Wishes Frame

I stamped the leaves twice on Basic White cardstock, once in Pear Pizzazz and once in Old Olive and cut them out with the coordinating die. Before I attached the Pear Pizzazz leaves with glue to the white layer, I cut off the left two “stems” for the flowers, leaving only the one on the right. I positioned this stem where I wanted the flower to hang before gluing the leaves to the white panel.

Before I attached the Old Olive leaves with Mini Dimensionals, I cut off the stem on the right side, and again lined the leaves up using the stems to determine where the flowers would hang.

I stamped the three-flower image in Highland Heather on Basic White cardstock. Then, I used the single flower image to add Gorgeous Grape ink to the flowers. I cut them out using the coordinating die, snipped off the flower on the right and attached them all with Mini Dimensionals.

The Details

I used a strip of Gorgeous Grape cardstock to cut out the vine from the Die set and adhered it with glue to the bottom area of the white panel.

Next, I stamped the lower sentiment on a small banner cut with the Banners Pick A Punch and adhered it with glue on the left side above the vine.

Finally, I embellished the flowers with Wink of Stella and added three pearls from the Pastel Pearls.

Vellum Layering Designs

Vellum Layering Designs Trio

Hello and welcome to another FAB Stampers post. This week its Leonie’s turn to share a project and she’s using the stunning Vellum Layering Designs pack.

Vellum Layering Designs

I love the Vellum Layering Designs Pack! They can add so much to your projects. I also love that this pack has carried over into the Annual Catalogue.

Vellum 12 x 12 Layering Designs

Vellum is great for adding texture and depth to your projects. It also gives it a touch of elegance and also a vintage feel depending on your project.

Here’s what I’ve created for you

Vellum Layering Designs Trio

The Vellum pack contains 12 sheets of 12x 12 in 3 different designs. Each design comes in black and white and you get 2 sheets of each. Being that there are three different designs I had to make 3 cards to share them.

Layering Designs Cards

Vellum Layering Designs 2

This card uses the map/topography design. I chose the black print of this design as it pops on the Shimmery White behind it. Using the white would also look good with a coloured or dark cardstock background. I do love a black & white card so used Basic Black for the mat and the diecuts.

Vellum Layering Designs 3

I love how this little one turned out. I’ve started with a Navy card base then popped a layer of patterned paper from the Sun Prints Pack. I layered a piece of the white handscript vellum piece between a layer of Shimmery White and Navy and let the Sun Prints piece show through the vellum. It gives a lovely muted affect. To finish off my card I added the sentiment and flower pieces.

Vellum Layering Designs 4

While making the previous card the idea for this one came to mind. It’s like when you used to buy flowers and they’d be wrapped in Newsprint. I cut a circle from the black newsprint piece using the Stylish Shapes DIes. Then folded the circle like a cone and slipped the flowers and stems inside. It’s finished with a bow in the Cotton Trim.

All my sentiments were stamped onto Shimmery White and cut out using the Stylish Shapes Dies (these are a must have!)

I do hope you like these cards today and grab some of that stunning vellum to have a play with it.
