Don’t Be a Tool!

Okay, so maybe that headline is a bit misleading, but I do want to show you a great tool. And, whether you’re a stamper or not, the Take Your Pick tool may just come in handy.

If you aren’t familiar with our Take Your Pick Tool and all its accessories, I’d just like to take a minute to shine the spotlight on this versatile tool. Once you’ve seen the uses, you may not be able to live without one!

Take Your Pick Tool

This amazing tool comes with 2 changeable double-ended tips, including a paper piercer (aka pokey tool), mini spatula, small stylus and large stylus. These are all interchangeable for one end of the base tool.

The other end of the tool has a tacky putty tip along with an extra refill. Additional refills are also available.

Protective caps are included for both ends of the tool.

The piercer tip is great for poking holes in almost anything. (It’s not actually seen in the photo above because it’s inside the base tool. It’s on the other end of the spatula.)

Use the spatula to slide under embellishments, release a card piece that wasn’t in exactly the right place, remove die cut images from your cutting pads, etc.

The stylus tips can be used for scoring or poking ribbon through holes.

The putty tip will easily pick up sequins, paper accents, and other small objects. Some of my friends who do Diamond Art absolutely love it!

These are only a few ideas. I’m sure you’ll come up with many more!

Take Your Pick Crafter Tips

This set of interchangeable tips will fit on your original tool.

There’s a hobby blade, a pick tip (which looks a bit like a dental tool) and a rotary perforating tip.

The rotary perforating tip can be used for things you’d like to be able to tear off your projects, like a bookmark that could be removed for use, or those special gift coupons you create for a loved one could be torn out of a coupon book.

These tips also have protective end caps.

Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip

This tip is also made to fit on your original Take Your Pick tool.

Use this tip to easily remove small cut pieces from dies. The brush head twists into the Take Your Pick tool.

It includes a brush head and two foam pads.

What Do You Think?

Now that you’ve seen how versatile this tool can be, do you need to add it to your arsenal? I know I have three so I can keep one handy at all times!

Artistic Mix Decorative Masks

If you have not crafted with the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks, then you must give them a try! These Masks will help you create advanced designs and add a wow factor to all your cards.

Gold Medals!!

If you saw my last post, you know that my husband, Steve, took his mother to bowl in the Senior Olympics in Pittsburgh last week.

Bev and Rose

My Mother-in-law, Bev (90), and her friend, Rose (94), earned Gold medals in the Doubles event. What an amazing achievement!

Artistic Mix Decorative Masks

The Artistic Mix Decorative Masks set includes stencils with stripe and tile patterns that you can place singly or together; you can layer the masks to create advanced designs, such as checkered, Moroccan, and more.

Try creating textured backgrounds with the masks and our Embossing Paste. The masks are versatile enough for crafting all year long and for many occasions and you can pair with your favorite stamp sets for even more versatility.

Artistic Mix with Quiet Meadow

Here’s one idea to try.

Measurements:

  • Mossy Meadow:                 8 ½” x 5 ½”, ¼” x 5” (x2), ¼” x 2”
  • Basic White:                       5” x 3 ¾”, 2” x 5”, ½” x 2”

Instructions:

  1. Fold Mossy Meadow card stock in half and score to create card base.
  2. Lay Artistic Mix mask on top of Basic White layer and secure in place (using, for example, washi tape).
  3. Ink Blending Brush using Copper Clay ink and apply ink over mask in a circular motion. Remove mask and adhere layer to card front.
  4. Ink flower image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamp onto smaller Basic White layer. Color using Mossy Meadow and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends.
  5. Ink phrase using Copper Clay ink and stamp onto Basic White strip. Adhere Mossy Meadow strip under phrase using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  6. Adhere 2 Mossy Meadow strips under flower layer and then adhere to the card front.
  7. Adhere phrase layer to card front above flower.
  8. Add 3 Copper Clay dots to card front to complete card.
