Gathering Together Fun Fold

Today I want to share this fun fold card we made at our last team meeting. Our team, the Red White and Bluegrass Stampers, try to meet every other week on Zoom to go over the latest news from Stampin’ Up! and to make a fun project together.

Everyone has different supplies, so the cards all turn out different, but they all look great!

I used the Gathering Together Suite Collection for my card.

How It’s Made

Cut Garden Green cardstock 5 ½” x 8 ½”. Score at 4 ¼” on the long side and fold for card base.
Cut two 4” x 5 ¼” panels of Two-Toned Granny Apple Green cardstock. Stack with one light side up and one dark side up. Mark at 3 ½” from top on the left side, and 2 ¼” from the top on right side. Place together in Paper Trimmer and cut diagonally from one mark to the other. You’ll have four pieces which will make two cards.
Adhere two of these (one light and one dark) to the card front.
Cut DSP 2” x 3 ½” and another pattern ½” x 4 ¼”. Adhere rectangle to card slightly right of center. Adhere strip on top near right edge.
Die cut circle using Stylish Shapes Dies. Stamp sentiment in Garden Green. Adhere over DSP using Dimensionals.
Fussy cut turtle of your choice from DSP and adhere with glue and Dimensionals to card on left side of circle.
Paint desired areas with Wink of Stella. I painted the glasses, party hat pompom and ribbon/bow on present.
Embellish with Hexagons.
Cut a white panel 4” x 5 ¼”. Stamp inside sentiment and decorate with images cut from DSP using coordinating dies.
Don’t forget to decorate your envelope, too!

Storybook Moments Squares

I recently attended Stampin’ Up!’s OnStage in Raleigh, NC. It was such a fun trip! Six members of my team attended, three I had never met, so it was great getting to know them.

Of course we had to do some stamping, so we decided on a shoe box swap. If you haven’t heard of a shoe box swap, each of us prepared one project for everyone else to make. It was great fun and everyone participated!

One of my team members, Kathryn, made this cute card for her Shoebox Swap. I loved it so much that we did it in class last month.

I’ve seen this design with other stamp sets, too. It makes such a cute card.

Storybook Moments Suite

I call this a MEGA Suite becuase it has TWO bundles (stamps and dies), TWO sets of Designer Series Paper (DSP), Ribbon and Embellishments! The Storybook Friends Bundle has so many cute animals, and the Storybook Garden Patch Bundle is all about plants and vegetables.

One of my favorite products is the Timeless Plaid DSP that is so versatile!

Storybook Moments Squares Inside

When I cut the squares (1 1/4″), I was left with a 1″ strip of the DSP, which I cut into 1/2″ strips for the inside of the card. This was a part of Kathryn’s design.

I colored the rabbit with Petal Pink, Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie and Mossy Meadow Blends. I colored the rocks and shrubs with Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie, Mossy Meadow and Ivory Blends.
