Season of Elegance Quick & Easy

Season of Elegance Q&E

We made this fun card at a class. It uses the Painted Trees Embossing Folder for the main image. After embossing, we used a dauber to apply Whisper White ink to the trees. But wait, there’s more!

Season of Elegance Card

We also used a fun product called Pearlized Enamel Effects Basics to apply tiny hints of snow. This comes in a set of three bottles (red, black & white) and has a fine tip point so you just squeeze out what you need where you need it.

Season of Elegance Suite Collection

This is an incredibly beautiful collection of products and it’s on the Last Chance list, so if you want it, grab it soon!

Inside

The inside of our card was very simple. We just stamped a sentiment and a few trees at various heights.

I did use a vintage silver cord. I didn’t realize this had retired. But, I gave you another nice option in the supply list above in case you don’t have this in your stash.

Sweetest Star is Retiring!!

Sweetest Star Santa Card Front

I’m going to miss this fun Sweetest Star Punch Bundle! It makes the cutest cards. We made this card at last month’s class, and everyone loved it. Grab this bundle before it’s gone forever!

Sweetest Star Quick & Easy Card

Sweetest Star Santa Card Front

For this card, we punched the star out of our white layer before embossing the layer with the So Swirly Embossing Folder. Next, we attached a strip of DSP to a slightly larger strip of Real Red DSP and glued it across the hole from the punched star, trimming to match the star cutout. We stamped our greeting onto a Granny Green square and used Dimensionals to position the embossed white layer over the greeting. Then, we attached this layer onto our card with Dimensionals.

We stamped Santa on the star we had punched out and colored him with Blends, attaching him to the card front with more Dimensionals.

We embellished the card with rhinestones colored with the Dark Real Red Blends.

Thoughtful Wishes Quick & Easy Detail

How It’s Made

  1. Cut Summer Splash cardstock to 5 ½” x 8 ½”.  Score at 4 ¼” on the long side and fold for card base.
  2. Cut two panels of Basic White 4” x 5 ¼”.  For inside panel, stamp sentiment and plant in Summer Splash ink and adhere to inside of card base.
  3. Take second Basic White 4” x 5 ¼” panel and insert into upper left corner of Simply Scored Scoring Tool with short side at the top.  Starting at the 1” mark, score five consecutive lines to the right.  Turn card counterclockwise (scored lines will be at the bottom) and again beginning at the 1” mark, score five consecutive lines to the right.  Flip panel over and adhere to the front of the card base.  Scored lines should intersect toward the bottom left and “bumps” should be facing up.
  4. Die cut large leaves from Summer Splash cardstock and adhere to lower left of card front.
  5. Cut a ½” x 4” strip of DSP and adhere across card over leaves just above score lines.
  6. Stamp Sentiment with Summer Splash ink on strip of Basic White ½” x 3 ½”, leaving room on left side for rhinestone.  Snip ends with Happy Labels punch. Adhere to card front with Dimensionals.
  7. Embellish with Basic Rhinestone Jewels colored with Summer Splash Blends.
