Last month’s Stamp Club was held online again, due to our state’s social distancing requirements. It’s not nearly as much fun as stamping together, but we still had fun. This was one of our projects.
It’s really easy to make. You only fold one end of the pillow box together and leave the other end flat. Use your punch to punch a “handle” in the flat end, and voila, an instant treat bag.
Before we had to think about social distancing, I held a monthly class at my local library. Now all events have been cancelled.
At my last class, we used the retired Best Bunny stamp set and Bunny Builder Punch to make little Spring baskets and cards. I was also planning to make these baskets for the residents at the local Veterans Center, but now we have discontinued our visits to limit their exposure. Maybe next year!
I love it when I can recycle or up-cycle everyday items that are normally thrown in the trash!
At Stamp Club this month, I asked everyone to bring an empty toilet paper roll. We used them to make these little hanging gift baskets. Aren’t they just the cutest?
We used the Gingham Gala paper from the Occasions Catalog. This paper is on the retiring list, so if you don’t have it, get it quick! I love this paper. It comes in five colors, including Lemon Lime Twist, which we didn’t use for this project. It has larger checks on one side and smaller checks on the other side. I used the side with larger squares for this project.
After covering the tube with paper, we squeezed the bottom flat and stapled it, then covered the staples with “ribbon” made from matching cardstock and the ribbon border punch.
Stay tuned for cards made with the leftover paper!
