Heart Shaped Care Card

Heart Shaped Bundle

This bundle is perfect for so many things, not just valentines. I decided to pair it with the Marbled Elegance DSP.

Marbled Elegance DSP

This DSP (Designer Series Paper) is absolutely stunning. We used it in class last week and everyone fell in love with it. Every sheet has gold foil accents that really pop. And the back has more subdued patterns. Click on the picture to see it in better detail on my shopping site.

Heart Shaped Care

How It’s Made

Cut Melon Mambo to 4 ¼” x 11”. Score at 5 ½” and fold for card base.
Cut Basic White to 4” x 5 ¼”. Center and adhere to front of card base.
Cut DSP panel 3 ¾” x 5”. On the short side, cut panel at 1 1/4”. Adhere larger piece to right side of white panel, leaving a 1/8” border. Flip the 1 ¼” piece over and adhere to the left side, also leaving a 1/8” border.
Cut a 2 ¾” square of Basic White. Stamp leafy heart in Cherry Cobbler in center.
Use the leafy heart die to cut a heart from Gold Foil. Adhere over Cherry Cobbler stamped heart. (I adhered a piece of Adhesive Sheet to the back of my gold foil before cutting it to make it a sticker.)
Cut two Melon Mambo flowers, one Cherry Cobbler flower and two sets of Old Olive leaves. Use Dimensional pieces to pop up the flowers on the gold heart and use Multipurpose Glue to tuck leaves under the flowers. Attach white square to card front as shown.
Cut a Basic White and a Gold Foil label. Stamp sentiment on the white label in Cherry Cobbler. Offset and attach to Gold foil label. Adhere to card front with Dimensionals as shown.
Tie a bow with the Twisted Gold thread and attach to label with a glue dot. Place a Sparkle Gem in the center of the Cherry Cobbler flower.

Adoring Hearts Book Fold

Although Valentine’s Day may be over, the Adoring Hearts stamp set can be used for so much more. Weddings and Anniversaries immediately come to mind, but I’m sure there are many other occasions to use this set.

Adoring Hearts Bundle

This bundle includes the stamp set, dies and hybrid embossing folder. The stamp set has hearts and roses and several sentiments in a beautiful font that looks handwritten.

The hybrid embossing folder includes both dies and embossing folder, so you can not only cut and emboss, but even do both at the same time!

Adoring Hearts Book Fold

For my card, I used the embossing folder ONLY to create the hearts in the background. I used one of the dies to cut the Highland Heather heart and another to cut the three tiny hearts for embellishment.

Most Adored Designer Series Paper

Did You Know?

More Fun with the Bee Mine Suite

I’ve been having so much fun with the Bee Mine Suite Collection! If you haven’t gotten this yet, it’s perfect for SO MUCH MORE than just Valentines!

Bee Mine Suite

I am in love with this suite ~ the stamps, the punch, the designer series paper, and the embellishments. The bright colors make this a welcome relief from the gloomy grays and browns outside my window this time of year. There are so many ways to use this set! I’m providing instructions for the first card, but you can easily adapt these supplies to make the other samples.

Card One

Don’t forget to stamp the inside of your card to coordinate with the front!

Measurements:

Petal Pink base card: 4¼” x 11”, scored at 5½”
Sweet Sorbet: scrap
Pool Party: scrap
DSP: 4” x 5¼”
Basic White: 4” x 5¼” for inside of the card
Petal Pink: small scrap for wings (cut 2)

Instructions:

1. Fold card base and adhere DSP using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
2. Punch bee body from Daffodil Delight cardstock, stamp stripes in Memento black (extend stripes with black marker, if needed).
3. Stamp wings in Petal Pink, punch out two sets (heart shape).
4. Stamp sentiment on Pool Party and punch out using a heart punch or die of your choice.
5. Add Dimensionals to the back of the bee and the wings of the bee. Glue wings to the body.
6. Punch small heart from Sweet Sorbet, glue to the bee’s tummy and draw arms to hold the heart.
7. Before adhering the bee to the card, determine placement of bee and stamp or draw antennae on the DSP. Adhere the bee to the base card.
8. Adhere the Pool Party heart to the card and add a small red flower from the Adhesive Hearts & Flowers embellishment collection.
9. Stamp flowers on the Basic White and adhere inside the card.
