Hugs for Love Back Fold

Once again, I can’t get enough of the Marbled Elegance DSP (Designer Series Paper). This is another card we made in class last month…. a Hugs for You Back Fold Card.

Hugs for Love Bundle

This fun bundle is great for Valentine’s Day or anytime you want to send love or encouragement. I really like the Sending you a Big Hug sentiment. That could be used for so many things. And the coordinating frames and punch make it an easy addition to any card.

Marbled Elegance DSP

I’ve told you before that I can’t get enough of this DSP! It is just stunning with the beatiful swirls of color and the gold foil accents. I’m stocking up on it!

Hugs for Love Back Fold

How It’s Made

I made this Back Fold card by cutting a Melon Mambo card base to 5 1/2″ x 7 1/2″ and scoring at 3 1/4″ and 6 1/2″ on the long side. Next, I folded on the first score line to make the card front and the second score line is folded back. I attached the sentiment ONLY to that small back folded section. So, the front flap is held in place by our sentiment. You can see what I mean in the picture below.

Marbled Elegance Double Z Fold

I just can’t get enough of this gorgeous Marbled Elegance DSP!! I’ve used it for several projects now. But this is my favorite! We made this Double Z Fold in class last month and it was a big hit.

This card uses almost the entire Marbled Elegance Suite….. everything except the treat bags! You won’t find this suite of projects in any catalog. They are an Online Exclusive.

Marbled Elegance Suite Collection

This collection of products has a stamp set with the most beautiful fonts. It also has a great set of heart dies that could be used any time of year. And it includes that gorgeous gold foil accented DSP, gold heart embellishments, twisted gold thread and treat bags in two sizes. It has everything you need to create beautiful projects!

Unfortunately, some of the products in the suite aren’t currently available, but they are definitely worth waiting for!

Heart Shaped Diagonal Pop Up

My favorite product from the 2025 Sale-a-bration Brochure is the Heart Shaped Bundle! Not only does it make beautiful Valentines, but it’s also pretty for other occasions. We made a Heart Shaped Diagonal Pop Up card at this month’s class. It’s easy, but so much fun.

Heart Shaped Diagonal Pop Up

I really like the leafy heart die cut and we added it over the stamped leafy image. The flowers, leaves and banners are also cut with the dies.

Tip: Use an adhesive sheet on the back of your cardstock before cutting the leafy heart and you won’t need glue to adhere it.

Diagonal Pop Up

To get the pop up, we took a piece of Thick Basic White cardstock cut to 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ and scored it at 4 1/4″ on the long side. We folded it in half and then scored the card front diagonally from the bottom left to top right.

Tip: Take a black Sharpie and run it down the 6″ score line on your Simply Scored Tool. Then you can line your card up with this line to make diagonal scores.
