Are You Ready for Fresh New Colors?

Fresh New Colors

Every few years, Stampin’ Up! refreshes their core color collection to keep current with the color trends in fashion and home décor industries. This is the year they have chosen to do a refresh and we have a total of 11 colors being added to the core color families. See all of these Fresh New Colors below!

Fresh New Colors

There are four Fresh New Colors – Azure Afternoon, Pecan Pie, Lemon Lolly, and Bubble Bath.

Plus, seven previous In-Colors are returning, including several of my favorites. These are Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst, Misty Moonlight, Pretty Peacock, Blueberry Bushel, Lost Lagoon, and Fresh Freesia (which was one of the just retired set of 2021-2023 In Colors). These are scattered throughout the core color families.

Five New 2023-2025 In Colors

Add to these 11 new colors in the Color Collection, the 5 new 2023-2025 In Colors and you have a total of 16 new choices. Wow! That is a lot and can be a bit pricy to build your new color collection when you consider cardstock, ink pads, markers, Stampin’ Blends, and embellishments in the new colors. My suggestion is to start with your favorite color family, whether it be Subtles, Regals, Neutrals, or Brights, and fill in the new colors of that family first. If you have been a fan of Stampin’ Up! for a few years, you may still have many of the returning colors in your stash. That’s great! I had all of them.

Check Those Ink Pads

Check the ink pads to see if they need reinking. I always recommend purchasing the coordinating refill with the ink pad. Hopefully you’ve done this. If you don’t have the refills, you may want to replace the old pads because the new refills may have a slightly different chemical composition than the old ones or the old ones may have changed slightly over the years and will not match the new refills.

Assorted Packs of New Core Colors

Stampin’ Up! offers a collection of the new core colors, and the ink pads have 10% discount. They are listed below:

  • 8 ½” x 11” Cardstock – 2 sheets each of 11 colors (161702) $11.00 each
  • 12” x 12” Cardstock – 2 sheets each of 11 colors (161711) $14.00 each
  • Classic Stampin’ Pad Bundle – 11 pads – 1 of each color (161683) $89.00 each (10% discounted)
  • Stampin’ Write Markers – 11 markers, 1 each of 11 colors (161694) $38.50 each

Similar bundles are available for the 2023-2025 In Colors with the stamp pad bundle having a 10% discount.

I’m excited about the new colors. My favorite ones right now are Lemon Lolly and Bubble Bath. Which ones excite you? Which will you order first?

Good Feelings with Starry Sky

Good Feelings and Starry Sky

I needed a sunny card for someone who’s feeling down. This greeting was perfect to go with my sun in the background. I used the stamp set Good Feelings with Starry Sky cardstock, ink and DSP to create this card.

Good Feelings and Starry Sky

Good Feelings Stamp Set

Fabulous Frames Dies

The Good Feelings Stamp Set coordinates with the Fabulous Frames Dies to create this fun greeting.

Good Feelings and Starry Sky Detail

Instructions

  1. Stamp circle from Watercolor Shapes in So Saffron on right middle area of white panel.  Over stamp circle with greeting from Good Greetings in Starry Sky.
  • Adhere strip of DSP to left side of Basic White panel.  Adhere Basic White panel to card base.
  • Cut frame from Fabulous Frames on Starry Sky cardstock.  Place foam strips on back side of frame, leaving a gap to tie the ribbon.  I had to cut these in narrow strips so they wouldn’t show.
  • Attach Starry Sky frame over greeting and “sun”. Tie ribbon around frame and add Opal Rounds for sparkle.
