Flight & Airy with No Stamping

Flight & Airy No Stamp Card

My favorite item in the 2024 Sale-a-bration brochure is the Flight & Airy DSP. It is absolutely beautiful, so of course it was my choice when I was challenged to make a card without stamps.

Flight & Airy DSP

The Flight & Airy DSP can be yours FREE with a $50 order (before s/t). It has beautiful birds and soft spring colors. If you click on the picture above, you’ll be taken to my shopping site where you can browse larger images of the individual sheets.

Instructions:

For my No Stamping Card, I layered a piece of 3″ x 5 1/2″ DSP onto a panel of 3 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ Pecan Pie cardstock, then adhered this to a Lost Lagoon cardbase.

I punched another piece of the DSP and a piece of Pecan Pie cardstock using the Hexagon Punch and adhered those together (for stability). I then attached it to the cardbase with Dimensionals over a twisted piece of Linen Thread.

Next, I fussy cut a bird from the DSP and adhered it to the Hexagon.

Finally, I used the brayer to ink the Thoughtful Moments Hybrid Embossing Folder and used it with the coordinating dies to emboss and cut the Get Well greeting in one step.

To embellish, I cut small flowers from the die set and a scrap of Calypso Coral card stock and attached them, using Rhinestone Basic Jewels colored with Lost Lagoon Blends for the flower centers.

Good Feelings with Starry Sky

Good Feelings and Starry Sky

I needed a sunny card for someone who’s feeling down. This greeting was perfect to go with my sun in the background. I used the stamp set Good Feelings with Starry Sky cardstock, ink and DSP to create this card.

Good Feelings and Starry Sky Detail

Instructions

  1. Stamp circle from Watercolor Shapes in So Saffron on right middle area of white panel.  Over stamp circle with greeting from Good Greetings in Starry Sky.
  • Adhere strip of DSP to left side of Basic White panel.  Adhere Basic White panel to card base.
  • Cut frame from Fabulous Frames on Starry Sky cardstock.  Place foam strips on back side of frame, leaving a gap to tie the ribbon.  I had to cut these in narrow strips so they wouldn’t show.
  • Attach Starry Sky frame over greeting and “sun”. Tie ribbon around frame and add Opal Rounds for sparkle.

Band Stamping Technique Part 2

In my last post, I showed you a note card made with the Dino Days bundle and the Band Stamping Technique.  This technique is a great way to add depth, color and interest to your cards with very few supplies.

Today, I’m sharing a couple more cards using this technique.

Positive Thoughts

Believe it or not, I have even more samples with this technique.  I wanted to show my club members how well this technique works with any stamp set.  Stay tuned for more samples!
