Veterans Thank You

My husband spent 28 years in the Army, and we live near Fort Knox, Kentucky.  A lot of my stamping friends have connections to the military so we try to support the military by making cards.  We give thank you cards to Veterans at various events and locations, and we also provide cards to units overseas for them to send home to their friends and families.

At my last party, almost everyone who attended was either a soldier or married to an active duty or retired soldier.  We decided to do not only a Make-n-Take, but also a Make-n-Leave!

We made a cute little Make-n-Take using the Reverse Words stamp set that was available during Sale-a-ration.  You can see that card here.

This card was the Make-n-Leave.  Each stamper at the party made one of these for a Veteran.  My father (who is a veteran of WWII) and my husband gave these out at a local Veterans Breakfast last month.

Stamps:  The Wilderness Awaits

Cardstock:  Whisper White, Night of Navy, Real Red

Ink:  Night of Navy

Dies/Punches:  Stars Framelits, Medium Star Punch

Other:  Lucky Stars TIEF, Red Cotton Ribbon (vintage), Metallics Sequin Assortment

Thanks for spending a few minutes here today.  If you see a Veteran, thank them for their service.  It really does mean a lot to them.
