Trees for Sale

It’s Saturday!! And time for another FAB (Friends Across Borders) Stampers post. It’s my turn, and I’ve chosen to use the Trees for Sale stamp set and the Tree Lot Dies for my project.

Trees for Sale Stamp Set

This adorable stamp set is in the new July-December 2022 Mini Catalog. It’s been such a popular set that it is currently unavailable in the US, but it will be back soon, so be sure to put it on your wish list.

Tree Lot Dies

I’m also using the Tree Lot Dies today. You can get these dies FREE with a qualifying order as part of Sale-a-bration during July and August. These seem to be going quickly, so grab yours while they are available, as everything in the Sale-a-bration brochure is WHILE SUPPLIES LAST, and some things have already sold out.

A Simple Card

I chose to make this card very simple…..on the front!

I cut three strips of Basic White cardstock, then used the two-layer stamps from Trees for Sale to stamp a tree on each strip. First, I stamped the bottom layer of the trees with Soft Succulent. Next, I stamped the more detailed layer of the tree with Evening Evergreen.

Trees for Sale Front

I mounted the three strips on a Soft Succulent panel, wrapped it with Early Espresso Faux Suede Ribbon and tied a bow on the ribbon with Linen Thread. This panel is mounted on an Evening Evergreen card base.

I stamped the sign and used the coordinating dies from the Tree Lot Dies to cut it out, then used a Dimensional to pop it under the edge of the ribbon.

I chose not to bling this card out, but you certainly could add rhinestones to these trees for sparkle.

The Inside

I decided to make the inside of this card special, so I made a pop-up. This is a simple pop-up, and you can find instructions almost anywhere. Or contact me, and I’ll be happy to help.

Trees for Sale Inside

I stamped the light poles in Soft Suede and the strings of lights in Memento Tuxedo Black. Then I colored the lights using Blends. The snowflakes and paw prints are stamped in Balmy Blue, and the greeting is in Evening Evergreen.

I stamped the tree, stand, and dog on a separate piece of Basic White cardstock and cut them out using the coordinating Tree Lot Dies. The dog and tree stand are Soft Suede, and the tree is Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen.

Finally, I cut the small start from Daffodil Delight cardstock and added it to the tree, along with Rhinestones colored with the same Blends as the lightbulbs. The dog, tree stand, and tree are glued to the pop-up.

I made another card using the Trees for Sale Stamp Set and the Tree Lot Dies. I don’t have instructions for this card, but it uses a side-step fun fold. It was a lot of fun to make, but pretty detailed.
