Congratulations, Grad

I always have a bonus project at my Cards and More classes.  Our bonus for last month is this cute little graduation treat box, CASED from a project by Carol Payne that I found on Pinterest.

I have customers from different areas and school districts, so I made this using black and white, so that they can be customized by coloring the letters in GRAD  and adding a ribbon in whatever school colors they need.  The “mortarboard” is embossed with the Zig Zag TIEF, which is on the retiring list.

Thanks, Carol Payne, for the idea!

Love You Sew

Nope, that’s not a misspelling in the title!

That’s the name of a stamp set from the Occasions catalog.  The set is exclusively for hosts, and is only available to purchase with host dollars.  Host dollars can be earned by having a qualifying party.  If you’re in my area, I would LOVE to have a party for you.  You provide snacks and friends, and I provide everything else! Please contact me if you’re interested in earning FREE product.

My friend, Dawn, taught this card at one of her classes.  It’s so cute and simple with different colors and different sized circle punches.  The only thing I changed was to run the top layer through the Big Shot using the Zig Zag embossing folder after I glued down the circles.  This technique is called faux quilting as the embossing gives the panel a quilted look.
