Timeless Tropical Tags Redo

Have you ever had a project in your head, that just didn’t turn out quite like you thought it would?

I recently made this card for a Blog Hop.  We were showing different ways to use tags.  If you missed the post you can find it here.

The more I looked at this card, the more I thought it needed something different.  I decided to switch up the tag belt from Crumb Cake to Poppy Parade, which matches the card base.

I’d love to know which one you like the best.  Would you let me know in the comments below?

Freshly Brewed Projects – Tags and Labels

Today I am participating in a Blog Hop with talented friends from “down under”.

Tags and labels aren’t just for sentiments!  This week, we are sharing different ways to add tags or labels to your projects.

Stampin’ Up! offers so many nice tag and label punches and dies that it was hard to choose what to use.  I finally decided on the Trio of Tags dies, but I used them in a non-traditional way.

I chose the tag that has the scalloped end with three holes.  I used a slightly larger strip of Crumb Cake cardstock, and cut only one end of the tag.  I did that by rolling it into my cutting machine only far enough to cut one end and then backing it out (see picture below).  I then used my paper trimmer to cut both sides of the tags to the length I wanted.  I made two of these, embossed them with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, then adhered them to the front of the card as shown, and tied them together with braided linen trim.

Here’s the fixin’s:

Boo! Coffin Treat Box

If you’re looking for a cute and quick treat for those Special Halloween tricksters, Stampin’ Up! has just what you need!  These coffin boxes are pre-cut and pre-scored, making them quick and easy to assemble.  In fact, I assembled 24 of these boxes Saturday afternoon for my friend Janet’s elementary class.

We made this one in Stamp Club last month, and we embossed the lid with the Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder before assembling them.

The tag is from the Tags Tags Tags Bundle.  The best thing about this bundle is that there are 3 tags on each stamp and the die cuts them all at once!  There is a set of tags for Halloween, Christmas, and Valentines Day, so lots of options with one set.

If you have any questions, please let me know.  Here’s the fixin’s:
