Favored and Fragrant Flowers

Today’s project is another fun fold. This fold is an alternate version of the Diagonal Fold Pop-Up I posted last week. You can see it here.

Favored Flowers

As you can see, the DSP (Designer Series Paper) does the heavy lifting in this card. In fact, all of the floral images in this card have been cut from the DSP.

Tip: Images on the edges of the DSP are perfect for the edges of your projects. I used one of these incomplete edge flowers on the “inside” of the card.

The Favored Flowers DSP is FREE with any $50 order during Sale-a-bration. Sale-a-bration ends February 28th, so order soon if you want to add this to your stash.

Faux Center Step Card Video

Sweet Candy Canes Faux Center Step

When I posted my Sweet Candy Canes card, I received a few requests for measurements and instructions. So….. I thought I’d give you access to my Faux Center Step Card Video tutorial.

This was a Stamp Club project in October. I make videos of all our club projects, but normally they are exclusively for club members.

The Faux Center Step Card Video

You can watch as much or as little of the video as you like. I start with the “bare bones” of the card, so if you’re just looking for measurements and assembly, you’ll be able to see this and not have to watch the entire video.

If you’d like to see how I made the shiny candy cane, I did that step next. After that, I’ll show you how I decorated my card.

Thanks for watching!

Under My Umbrella Side Fold

It’s a good day for a Blog Hop!  This week we are focusing on side fold cards.  It’s an easy way to add more interested to a simple card design.

My project for today uses the Under My Umbrella stamp set and Umbrella Builder punch.  In the US, spring has just arrived, so I wanted to make a pretty spring card.

This is a very easy fun fold.  Basically, you take a half sheet of cardstock 4 1/4″ x 11″.  Score at 5 1/2″ and 6 3/4″.  Fold the card on the 5 1/2″ score line, then fold back on the 6 3/4″ score line.  Put adhesive on the inside of the small panel between the score lines and seal that part shut.  How easy is that?!

For my card, I stamped the umbrella and the rain boots directly onto a piece of DSP from the Ornate Garden Specialty pack.  I stamped the umbrella handle directly onto the white stitched square, fussy cut the boots, and popped the boots and umbrella up with dimensionals.

No card is complete without some sort of bling, so I finished this one off with In-Color Enamel Dots.

I hope you enjoyed this project!  If so, I’d love for you to comment below!

Now, let’s see what the other ladies have created!
