FAB Stampers – Stars Are Shining
Today is the first post I will be sharing as part of a collaboration with my friend Connie Douglas in Wasaga Beach, Ontario.
Stars Are Shining Bundle
Today I’ve used the Stars Are Shining Bundle, which includes the stamp set and the Starlit Punch to create this easy, but pretty Christmas card.
Watercolor Shapes
Today’s card doesn’t require any difficult folds, but it does add an additional element using the Watercolor Shapes Stamp Set.
The card base is 5 1/5″ x 8 1/2″ (half sheet of CS) folded to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. The Night of Navy layer is 4″ x 5 1/4″, and the vanilla stamped layer is 3 3/4″ x 5″. You’ll also need a scrap of vanilla large enough to stamp the stars.
I inked one of the rectangle shapes with Sahara Sand ink. Before stamping on the vanilla panel, I stamped it off once on scrap paper to lighten the image. I stamped the center rectangle first. Then, I repeated the process to add a rectangle on either side of the center one.
I used Night of Navy ink to add the strings to hang the baubles. Then, I stamped the baubles in Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce. I added the greeting at the bottom right in Night of Navy.
The Details:
I stamped the stars on a scrap of Vanilla and punched them with the Starlit Punch. The stars were adhered randomly using Dimensionals, and I embellished with the navy rhinestones from the Holiday Jewels pack.
I also added Wink of Stella to the stars, although it’s hard to see in the photos.
