Sweet As A Peach Sweet Treat
I am fortunate to live in Kentucky, where we have several orchards within an hour’s drive. Each year in the early summer, we drive down to one of the orchards and pick up several boxes of peaches for my husband’s family. They are so sweet and juicy, and everyone wants a box of their own. I think the peaches make wonderful gifts, and the recipients seem to think so, too.
Stamp Club Project
This week, my Stamp Club will be meeting in person for the first time in two years. This is one of the projects I have planned for them.
The Sweet As A Peach Bundle makes the perfect tag to go with this sweet treat!
The Details
I cut the base tag from a piece of Balmy Blue using the Tailor Made Tags Dies. I cut a piece of white to 1 7/8″ x 2″, and a piece of Calypso Coral to 2″ x 2 1/2″
The bottom of the Calypso Coral piece is cut with the smallest scalloped die from the Scalloped Contours Dies. You’ll need to be careful with this, as you only want to cut the edge, so you’ll only run it through far enough to make that cut. If you run it all the way through your cutting machine, you’ll end up cutting your calypso coral piece in half. If you forget and do that, it’s ok! When you adhere it to the balmy blue tag it will be covered up by the white anyway.
Stamp the white square with the peach leaves in Pear Pizzazz. The three small peaches fit perfectly between the leaves, and are stamped in Pale Papaya.
Stamp the stem with leaves in Pear Pizzazz and the large peach on a scrap. I inked the peach with Pale Papaya, then used a dauber to add Calypso Coral in some areas before stamping. The stem/leaves and peach are cut with the coordinating Peach Dies.
Stamp the “You’re as” at the very top left of the Calypso Coral piece, and “sweet as a peach” on the die cut peach in Early Espresso.
Assemble by adhering the Calypso Coral layer to the tag, then the white square, and finish by adding the peach and stem/leaves with dimensionals.
Use ribbon to tie the tag to a printed cellophane bag.
Sweeter still
If you’d like to give a larger treat, simply tie your tag to a mini shopping bag!
