Definitely Dahlia

Another card from June’s CAM class.  This one is so simple, using the Definitely Dahlia background stamp.  It would be pretty for any occasion, when you need a card in a hurry.

I used the aquapainter to add So Saffron ink to the white areas of the dahlia to keep those areas from looking so “stark”.  It’s hard to see in the photo, but I also used the Simply Scored board to emboss five lines about an inch from the bottom of the card base.

Stamps:  Definitely Dahlia, One Big Meaning

Cardstock:  So Saffron, Perfect Plum, Whisper White

Ink:  So Saffron, Perfect Plum

Other:  Aquapainter, Basic Pearls

Flower Shop and Falling Flowers

Once a month, I teach a class at our local library.  The class lasts about an hour and we make two quick and easy projects.  This month we made this card using stamps from Flower Shop and Falling Flowers.  I provide all the supplies for this class, so I occasionally use retired product.

Do you remember a color called Close to Cocoa?  The paper on this card is from a package of Close to Cocoa DSP (Designer Series Paper).  I think that color has been retired for several years now!  But, it still looks great with our current colors.

Stamps:  Flower Shop, Falling Flowers, One Big Meaning

Cardstock:  Rose Red, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip

Ink:  Rose Red, Garden Green, Crumb Cake

Paper:  Close to Cocoa DSP

Punch:  Pansy

Other:  Whisper White Solid Bakers Twine

Botanical Blooms Z Fold

I made this card for a monthly challenge group I belong to.  It uses retired supplies, but turned out quite nice.  It’s a variation of the Double Z fold I’ve used before.  You can see other examples of this fold here and here.

Stamps:  Botanical Blooms, One Big Meaning

Cardstock:  Mint Macaron (vintage), Hello Honey (vintage), Mossy Meadow (vintage), Cajun Craze, Whisper White

Ink:  Mint Macaron, Basic Black

Paper:  Botanical Gardens DSP (vintage)

Dies:  Botanical Builder Framelits, Stitched Shapes Framelits

Other:  Basic Rhinestones

Although a lot of the supplies used on this card are no longer available, I’ll be happy to help you choose other products just as beautiful.  Feel free to contact me if you need help.
