Here’s your FAB (Friends Across Borders) post to celebrate some of the new In Colours.

Have you had a chance to play with the new In Colours yet? They are marvelous. I think this is the first time I have fallen in love with all 5 colours as soon as I got them. I seem to always like the In Colours, but some more than others, and sometimes they have to grow on me. This year though, I loved them all right away.

Pretty Patterns

This is the 2022-2024 In Colour 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper. There are 4 fun patterns in each of the 5 In Colours, and I have used some of these for my cards today.

Sweet Sorbet and Tahitian Tide

In Color Hello Ladybug

This card features Sweet Sorbet and Tahitian Tide, along with a bit of So Saffron. I love how all the new In Colours work well together, and I also love how easily they mix in with our existing colours.

Bring on the Embellishments!

I went all out decorating this card, using Wink of Stella on my ladybugs, colouring Clear Rhinestones with my Tahitian Tide Stampin’ Blends, and some Linen Thread to tie it all together!

Starry Sky and Parakeet Party

In-Color Butterflies

For this card I used Starry Sky and Parakeet Party. I love these two colours together, but I think Parakeet Party is easy to combine with almost any other colour. It is wonderful and bright and makes everything cheery. I die cut butterflies with the Brilliant Wings Dies, and added Clear Rhinestones that I coloured with my Parakeet Party Stampin’ Blend. I added Metallic Woven Ribbon in Starry Sky for extra sparkle.

Here’s a Tip

Using your Stampin’ Blends to colour Clear Rhinestone Basic Gems means you can have colour coordinated gems in any colour you want. Use the fine tip end to colour the gems. The brush tip is softer and colouring on gems that can have sharp edges can damage the brush tip.

Connie’s Been Busy!

This is a fun layout that you can use to create lots of cards that show off pretty Designer Series Paper and fun punched or die cut images. Each card looks different depending on the DSP you use and the other elements you add. This first card is so cute!

A Cute Layout Ladybugs

Hello Ladybug!

I used the super cute Ladybug builder punch for this card. I stamped the Real Red wings with Memento Black ink dots using the stamp from the Hello Ladybug stamp set.

All my cards today use the Heart and Home DSP. This paper has some pretty patterns and colours, and I love the woodgrain side to add just a little interest when I really want to show off other elements of my card.

A Cute Layout Dragonflies

Dragonfly Garden

The second card shows the wonderful bumblebee print from the DSP package, and I accented it with some dragonflies stamped with Cinnamon Cider ink on Pale Papaya cardstock. Don’t forget that there are only a few days left to get the last chance products like Cinnamon Cider ink and cardstock, and the Gilded Gems I used on this card.

A Cute Layout Daisies

Daisies

For the final card I used both the Daisy Punch, which is retiring, and the Medium Daisy Punch which will carryover to the new annual catalogue to create some pretty flowers for my card. The leaves are punched from Night of Navy cardstock using the Bough Punch, which will also continue to be available.

So, gather some pretty Designer Series Paper, some of your favourite punches, and get ready to create some cute and easy cards!

Hello Ladybug and Sweet Strawberry Mini Treats

Hello Ladybug Mini Treat Lead

It’s FBP Blog Hop Day!! Today, we’re playing with our punches. I absolutely love punches. They make projects so quick and easy and don’t require a machine. They’re great when you want a portable project, too. I’m using the Hello Ladybug and Sweet Strawberry Bundles for my projects today.

Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Banner

Hello Ladybug

Let’s start with the Hello Ladybug Bundle. How cute are these? And, so quick and easy.

I simply punched the ladybug body from Basic Black cardstock using the Ladybug Builder punch and used my Stampin’ Seal to attach the chocolate candy body.

Next, I punched the ladybug’s wings from Real Red cardstock and stamped the dots in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I adhered those to the top of the candy with more Stampin’ Seal.

So quick and easy, but oh so cute!

Sweet Strawberry

These darling treats were even easier to make!

I stamped the strawberry stem with Garden Green ink on Garden Green cardstock and punched them out with the Strawberry Builder punch.

I adhered the stem to the candy wrapper with Mini Glue Dots. It doesn’t get any easier than that!

Punch a Bunch!

As you can see, I made a lot of these sweet little treats!

I gave one of each of these treats to my club members at class last month. They seemed to enjoy them.

The candy is Dove Dark Chocolate hearts. If you’re lucky, you may find some of these in the discount bin! But I’m sure there are other candies that would work.

No shamrocks, no problem!

You can use the Flowers of Friendship stamps and punches to create these lucky four-leaf clovers, or if you prefer three leaves, you can snip out a petal. If you’d like to see more information on this project and the supplies used, check out my previous blog post here.
