Banners for You Anniversary

A good friend of mine recently asked me to create an Anniversary card for his wife.  She’s one of my best friends and stamping buddies, so he didn’t want to give her a store-bought card.  She’s also partial to blue, so I wanted to create something special for her.

I thought two hearts tied together would make a nice card, so I created this one.

Stamps:  Banners for You, Gorgeous Grunge (retired)

Cardstock:  Whisper White, Marina Mist

Ink:  Marina Mist, Basic Black

Dies:  Bunch of Banners Framelits, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits

Other:  Basic Rhinestones, Black Solid Bakers Twine, Heart Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (retired)

My friend really liked the card!  I hope you to, too!

Thanks for visiting!

Traveler Birthday

I was invited to participate in Kylie’s International Highlights this month.  The theme is masculine cards, and I just so happen to have one of those!  I sometimes struggle with designing masculine cards, as I’m drawn to flowers and butterflies (and glitter).

This card uses stamps and an embossing folder that will be retiring at the end of this month, so if you like them, you should get them while you can!  And, if you like my card, please vote for it here!

Stamps:  Traveler, Wetlands, Gorgeous Grunge

Cardstock:  Always Artichoke, Sahara Sand, Basic Gray

Ink:  Basic Gray, Always Artichoke

Other:  Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, 2″ Circle Punch, Linen Thread

Thanks for visiting today, and remember, if you like my card, please vote for it here.

Picture Perfect

Another great set that will be retiring at the end of the month is Picture Perfect.  It uses 2 and 3 step stamping to create very realistic looking starfish, hummingbirds, roses and leaves.

Stamps:  Picture Perfect, Watercolor Wash, Gorgeous Grunge

Cardstock:  Soft Sky (we used Pool Party in class), Soft Suede, Very Vanilla

Ink:  Soft Sky, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede

Other:  Linen thread

The sand spots are from the Gorgeous Grunge set.  If you don’t have this set, I highly recommend that you get it before it’s gone.  The speckle stamp can add dimension to almost any card!  If you’d like to order, please visit my online store at the link below.
