First Sight Mother’s Day

Today is Memorial Day and before I get to the card I’m sharing today, I’d like to say Thank You to all of our service members and veterans.  I’d also like to take a moment to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.  I am truly grateful for the freedoms I enjoy because of them.

Today, I’m sharing a card from my library class.  Each month, we make two quick and easy projects.  The class is early in the month, so this month we made a Mother’s Day card.

Wednesday will be the last day to order this stamp set, so if you like it, order it soon!

Stamps:  First Sight, Oh So Succulent

Cardstock:  Smoky Slate, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White

Ink:  Smoky Slate, Melon Mambo, Basic Gray

Punch:  Sweetheart

Other:  Melon Mambo Stitched Satin Ribbon (vintage), Silver Metallic Thread, Basic Rhinestone

This will also make a lovely valentine.  I can’t wait to use this design for my Valentines for Veterans project!

Until next time…..stay inky, my friends!

First Sight

One of my favorite stamp sets from the Occasions catalog is the First Sight set.  It’s so lovely.

I also love making these sweet little treats.  They hold a Hershey’s Nugget and are so easy to make.  Simply cut a piece of cardstock to 2″ X 6″, score at 2 3/8″ from each end, then punch both ends using one of our tag topper punches (I used the Ornate TTP), fold on the score lines, and decorate as desired.  Tape the nugget inside, bring the tag ends together and secure with ribbon or twine, or even both as I did!  Easy Peasy!
