Butterfly Gala Gift Basket

I love it when I can recycle or up-cycle everyday items that are normally thrown in the trash!

At Stamp Club this month, I asked everyone to bring an empty toilet paper roll.  We used them to make these little hanging gift baskets.  Aren’t they just the cutest?

We used the Gingham Gala paper from the Occasions Catalog.  This paper is on the retiring list, so if you don’t have it, get it quick!  I love this paper.  It comes in five colors, including Lemon Lime Twist, which we didn’t use for this project.  It has larger checks on one side and smaller checks on the other side.  I used the side with larger squares for this project.

After covering the tube with paper, we squeezed the bottom flat and stapled it, then covered the staples with “ribbon” made from matching cardstock and the ribbon border punch.

Stay tuned for cards made with the leftover paper!

Hold on to Hope and You’re Inspiring

One of my favorite bundles in the Occasions Catalog is the Hold on to Hope Bundle.  I know it’s way past Easter, but this card would also make a beautiful Encouragement or Hope Card.

Stamps:  Hold on to Hope, You’re Inspiring

Cardstock:  Fresh Fig, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla

Ink:  Fresh Fig, Crushed Curry, Crumb Cake

Dies/Punches:  Cross of Hope Framelits, Decorative Ribbon Border Punch

Other:  Fresh Fig 1/2″ Finely Woven Ribbon

I have another card using this stamp set to show you.  So, stay tuned!
