Artful Amaryllis

The Artful Amaryllis Bundle features the amaryllis flower. It is a beautiful flower that grows from a bulb and is easily grown inside. We usually see it around Christmas, but the flower symbolizes love. Therefore, it can be used to make Christmas, Valentine’s, Anniversary, or Birthday cards.

You can find some beautiful examples on page 48 of the September – December Mini Catalog. The example below uses Artful Amaryllis to make a beautiful birthday card.

Artful Amaryllis Birthday

How It’s Made

The card base is Real Red cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½” and scored and folded at 4 ¼”.

Next, add a layer Old Olive cut to 5” x 3 ¾”.

Cut a Basic White layer 3 ½” x 4 ¾” and die cut with the Deckled Circle Dies. After die cutting the circle, emboss with the Forever Plaid embossing folder. Before attaching this piece to the card, put a 3 ¼” square behind the circle. This card uses a piece of DSP from the Season of Green & Gold DSP.

Next, stamp the amaryllis flower on Basic White using Tuxedo Memento Black ink. Use Real Red and Old Olive to stamp the “fill in” for the flowers and leaves. Die cut using the matching die from Artful Amaryllis. Attach with Dimensionals.

Stamp the sentiment on Basic White using Real Red, die cut with the Deckled Rectangles. Cut a rectangle out of Old Olive to fit behind the sentiment and attach with Dimensionals.

Be sure to add this beautiful bundle to your next order and start creating.

Welcome, Sweet Pea

Welcome Sweet Pea Card

If you’re in need of a Quick & Easy baby card, this Welcome, Sweet Pea card takes only minutes to create! In pastel yellows and greens, it could be for a boy or a girl, so make a few to have on hand.

Welcome, Sweet Pea

Here’s How:

  1. Cut Lemon Lolly cardstock to 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″. Score at 4 1/4″ on the long side and fold for card base.
  2. Cut a Soft Sea Foam panel to 3 1/2″ x 5 1/2″. Cut a circle from the center of this panel (it will be covered up) using the 10th largest Deckled Circles Die. Attach panel (with hole) to front of cardbase approximately 1/4″ from the bottom.
  3. Next, cut a Basic White panel to 3 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and emboss with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder. Adhere to Soft Sea Foam panel on card base (covering the hole).
  4. Cut a Basic Black circle using the 11th largest Deckled Circles Die. Adhere to the center of the Soft Sea Foam Circle.
  5. Cut a Basic White circle using one of the 4th largest Spotlight on Nature Dies. Stamp the baby pea in Memento Tuxedo Black and color with Blends. Adhere over the black circle (these are the same size).
  6. Stamp the greeting on a 3/4″ strip of Basic White and cut the end diagonally with your Paper Snips. Cut a 1/2″ strip of Soft Sea Foam and Lemon Lolly and cut the ends diagonally. Adhere these three strips together and attach to card.
  7. Use Dimensionals to attach the circles to the card.
  8. Finally, embellish with a black twine bow.
