FAB Stampers Festive Foliage

For today’s FAB Stampers project, I’ve chosen a card that is quick and easy to make. I’ll be using the Festive Foliage background stamp. If you need a lot of holiday cards, this is a perfect one to mass produce.

It also requires very few supplies – one ink color, two colors of cardstock (in addition to your white card base), circle dies and ribbon.

Festive Foliage Q&E Lead

Festive Foliage and Christmas to Remember

I’ve used the Festive Foliage background stamp in Evening Evergreen on a Soft Succulent panel (3 3/4″ x 5″). These two colors are FABulous together! And, the Stamparatus is the BOMB for stamping backgrounds.

The Soft Succulent Panel is layered onto a Real Red panel (4″ x 5 1/4″) and then onto a Basic White card base (5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, folded in half). Before you add that Real Red panel, be sure to read my paper saving tip in the Details below!

Details

I stamped the greeting from Christmas To Remember in Evening Evergreen, and cut it out with one of the smooth dies from the Layering Circles Dies.

Before I added the red panel to the card, I cut a scalloped circle from the center (slightly larger than my white circle greeting) using the same Layering Circles Dies. As long as you stay at least 1/4″ away from the edges of the panel, you’ll cover up the hole when you add the Soft Succulent panel on top. This is a great paper saving tip and NO ONE will ever know!!

Next, I layered the white circle onto the scalloped Real Red circle, and added Dimensionals to the back. I folded an 8″ piece of the Real Red Mini Ruffled Ribbon and attached it to the card using glue dots. I added the layered greeting on top of the ribbon.

Of course, no project is complete without a little bling, so I had to add a few of the Red Rhinestones to finish this card.

Inside

I kept the inside of the card simple, adding another sentiment from the Christmas to Remember set, and stamping just the corner of the Festive Foliage in the bottom right corner.
