Today’s Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop is all about acetate. I’m using Stampin’ Up!’s Window Sheets along with sunflower stamps and dies to create my Celebrate Sunflowers Treat Box.

Celebrate Sunflowers and Sunflowers Dies

Although the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set and Sunflowers Dies are no longer bundled, they are both still available in the Annual Catalog.

I used the smaller sunflower image and stamped it in Saddle Brown StazOn, then colored it with Blends. I cut it out using the coordinating die and also cut the flower center from a scrap of Soft Suede.

Sweet Little Boxes

I used the Sweet Little Boxes from the January-June 2022 Mini Catalog for this project.

First, I used the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch to cut the window. Next, I taped the box to a piece of scrap paper using masking tape. I taped the polka dot Basic Pattern Mask over the box and used my Blending Brushes to add ink to the box.

I started in the center of the box (which will be the bottom) with Cajun Craze, then moved out to the ends with Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry to give the box an Ombre effect. You will need to move the mask and line it up with the dots already colored. You can see this better on the back of the box.

Details

After adhering a piece of Window Sheet to the inside of the box covering the punched hole, I assembled the box and filled it with sunflower seeds.

Next, I wrapped it with a piece of Soft Suede Cardstock and Linen Thread, then popped up the sunflower and the flower center with Dimensionals. It doesn’t show up well on camera, but the sunflower and center are painted with Wink of Stella for a touch of sparkle.

Finally, I added a couple of metallic gold pearls and a Bumblebee Trinket.

Celebrate Sunflowers Angled Trifold

Celebrate Sunflowers Angled Trifold Lead

It’s another Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop, and today we’re making a fun fold. I’m using the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle and products from the Waves of The Ocean Collection to make my card.

The Fold

Leonie Schroder, my friend and fearless leader of the Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop, challenged me to make an Angled Trifold card for today’s hop. This card starts with a larger than usual piece of cardstock (5 1/2 x 11 inches) so, you can only get one from an 8 1/2 x 11-inch piece. But, once it’s scored, snipped and folded, it fits in a standard medium envelope.

The Inspiration

Ever since Russia invaded their county, the people of Ukraine have been in my thoughts and prayers. The National Flower of Ukraine is the sunflower, and the colors of the flag are blue and yellow, so I’ve been wanting to make a card with these images and colors. This card fold was the perfect opportunity to do so.

Celebrate Sunflowers and Waves of the Ocean

I used the dies from the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle to cut the yellow base sunflower and green leaf from the Waves of the Ocean DSP. Next, I cut the detailed sunflower outline from the Blue Foils, also from the Waves of the Ocean Collection. I used Coastal Cabana cardstock for the detailed leaf die. For the detailed sunflower and leaf, I backed the cardstock with adhesive sheets before cutting, so I didn’t need to use glue on such a detailed die cut.

The right flap of the card is decorated with another of the papers from the Waves of the Ocean DSP. This paper is gorgeous!!! The left flap is embossed with one of the folders from the Meadown Moments Embossing Folder set.

The Inside

For the inside, I chose stamps from the Grassy Grove stamp set. I thought the wording was perfect for my purpose. I used Pacific Point ink for these and the smaller sunflower in the corner.

Finally, to finish this card, I added a multi-loop white twine bow and Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels.
