Brusho Class Vintage Leaves

We had so much fun at my recent Brusho class.  It was a three hour afternoon class.  I took the first hour to walk the participants through several techniques.  Then, we had another hour for everyone to play with the techniques they liked best.  The last hour was spent making some of the samples into cards.

This was one of my samples.  I took a piece of watercolor paper that had been colored with Brusho, stamped the leaf in Early Espresso, and cut it with the matching framelit.

Stamps:  Vintage Leaves, Better Together

Cardstock:  Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Watercolor Paper

Ink:  Crumb Cake, Early Espresso

Dies:  Leaflets Framelits

Other:  Pinewood Planks Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Linen Thread

I hope you’ve enjoyed this card.  I have a couple more Brusho samples to show you, so be sure to visit again.

The Vintage Leaves and Leaflets Framelits are retiring, so be sure to get them before the end of the month.

Baby Bear Easel Fold

In my last post, I showed you a couple of pictures of my friend’s granddaughter, Tia, who joined us for CAM class last month.  Another friend’s daughter, Peyton, also joined us last month, but I forgot to take pictures in that class.

I knew both of them were coming, and I thought they would enjoy making this cute Baby Bear card.  It looks like a “normal” card when it’s closed, but when it’s open, it becomes an easel card.  It’s so simple to create by adding a fold in the middle of the card front, and adhering the panel only on the bottom half.

The bear looks so much like a real teddy bear that you expect him to be fuzzy when you touch him!  His realistic look is achieved by stamping three coordinating bear stamps in three different colors.

Stamps:  Baby Bear, Balloon Celebration, Better Together

Cardstock:  Elegant Eggplant, Melon Mambo, Whisper White

Ink:  Elegant Eggplant, Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede

Punches:  Triple Banner, Balloon Bouquet, Holly Berry Builder

Other:  Silver Sequin Trim, White Stampin’ Chalk Marker, Oh My Stars TIEF, Simply Scored

I hope you enjoyed this cute card.  I’d love to hear from you in the comments below.
