Gilded Autumn Stampin’ Surprise

I miss my stamping friends!!  Between the Covid restrictions and building a new house, I’ve been trying to do more events online.

One of the things we’ve been doing is Stampin’ Surprise.  I post a list of the materials needed (with a picture of what I’ll be using), and everyone who participates prepares their own packet.  Then, we get together on Zoom and I TELL them how to make their card.  They don’t get to see a sample or picture of the card they’re making.  They make their card just following the verbal instructions I give them.  Some of my friends are really visual (as am I), so it’s outside the box for them.  But, I’ve had a good time with it, and they seem to enjoy it, too.

This was one of our Stampin’ Surprise cards.  I used the beautiful Gilded Autumn Suite, which is my current favorite.  We followed a sketch design from Mojo Monday.

I just love the little leaf and acorn stamps and punches.  They are quick and easy, and add such a pretty embellishment.

They also are the perfect addition to the inside of the card.

I hope you like this suite as much as I do!  In my next post, I’ll show you all the beautiful cards made by my stampin’ friends!

Gilded Autumn Suite

Whenever a new catalog comes out, we all have our favorites.  My current favorite is the Gilded Autumn Suite.  I just can’t get enough of it.

It has everything you need to make the most beautiful projects.  I love the colors, the stamps and punches, the DSP and metallic cardstock, and the ribbons and acorn trinkets!  If you haven’t seen it, be sure to check it out on page 45 of the 2020 August-December Mini Catalog.

I love the color combination for this suite, but you can use any colors you choose.

You can incorporate this stamp set with other products you own to create even more beautiful projects.

If you want to see how simple it can be to create a couple of cards using this set with non-traditional colors, watch this Speed Stamping video.  There’s no sound with this video.

Stay tuned for a project I made using this suite of products.  And, if you love it as much as I do, the details are below.

Freshly Brewed Projects – Ways With Shapes

I am joining my friends from Australia again today as we play with our shaped dies….. squares, circles, hearts, stars, etc.  I can’t wait to see what everyone does with their shapes.

I’ve been wanting to make a slimline card, so I decided to use my squares to make a shaker card.  Slimline cards are very popular right now.  If you haven’t tried one yet, they’re really fun.  Simply cut your card base to 8 1/2 x 7, and fold it to 8 1/2 x 3 1/2.  Then, just decorate however you choose!

I am totally in love with the Gilded Autumn Suite on page 45 of the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog.  I’ve used it in several projects lately, including a fun fold and a Stampin’ Surprise card with my friends and customers.

I just love the little leaves and acorn stamps.  What could be better?  How about punches to cut them all out?!!  I used the Sequins for Everything on Page 66 to fill my little shaker squares.  This set of sequins has four different color groups for any occasion!

Of course a card is never finished until you’ve stamped and decorated the inside.  I stamped the little leaves, and added a couple of punched acorns to finish my card.

I hope you enjoyed this project.  If so, I’d love for you to comment below.

And, be sure to visit the blogs below to see what my friends have been up to with their shape dies!
