Nutty Treat Box

I hope you’re all enjoying the lovely fall weather.  I like this so much better than the hot summer.  But, I do miss all the fresh vegetables from the Farmer’s Market.

Today’s project is a fall treat box.  This is another project from this month’s Stamp Club.

nutty box

Here are the fixin’s:

The box is made using Soft Suede CS and the new Square Pillowbox die from the Holiday Catalog.  Cut two pieces with the die (two are required to make the box, but you can get both from a half shet of CS), run one through the Big Shot using the Woodland embossing folder.

Using soft suede ink, add a few leaves from the Among the Branches stamp set (which can be purchased as a bundle with the pillowbox die, saving 15%).  Use tear and tape to assemble the box.  Wrap linen thread twice around the box and tie with a bow.

Punch a 2″ circle from Very Vanilla CS and stamp with Soft Suede ink and the speckled stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge set.

Using the Acorny Thank You bundle, punch an acorn from corrugated paper.  Stamp the acorn top in Cajun Craze, punch, and adhere to the acorn.  Use a dimensional to attach the acorn to the Very Vanilla circle.

Cut a small strip of Very Vanilla, stamp the Grateful for You in Cajun Craze, cut one end in a banner, and adhere on the circle under the acorn.  Use a dimensional to adhere the circle to the box.  I tucked it up under the bow.

I hope you enjoy this project.  If you need any of the supplies to make this project, please visit my Stampin’ Up! store by clicking on the shopping basket in the top right corner.  If you don’t have one, I’d love to be your demonstrator.  And, if you’re in the Fort Knox/Elizabethtown, KY area, I’d love to meet you.

Until next time……..stay inky, my friends!

September Stamp Club

Have you ever heard of a Stamp Club?  It’s where six people commit to spending a certain amount of money on Stampin’ Up! each month for six months, and they take turns receiving the FREE host benefits each month.

My clubs are currently meeting during the second week of the month.  I have four sessions of the same projects, so members pick the one that fits their schedule.

Want to see what Stamp Club projects look like?  Well, here ya go!

The first card was inspired by a card from the fabulous Michele Zindorf!  I didn’t have her tutorial, so I had to figure out the steps, but I think it turned out well.  It uses the new Among the Branches stamp set and Woodland TIEF (Textured Impressions Embossing Folder).  You can purchase these as a bundle and save 15%!!  The greeting is from the Cheer All Year stamp set.  We made this card using the brayer.  Ink colors: Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry, Soft Suede, and Tuxedo Black.  CS (cardstock):  Whisper White, Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry, and Pumpkin Pie.   Members of my Stamp Club will be getting the recipe for this card as one of their club perks!

The second card was designed by me.  It uses the Howl-o-ween Treat stamp set and Boo to You Framelits.  You can also purchase these as a bundle to save 15%.  I’m loving the bundles!!  The Boo is from the Cheer All Year stamp set.  Ink colors:  Elegant Eggplant, Pumpkin Pie.  CS:  Old Olive, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant.  It’s hard to see, but we also used the new black glimmer paper for the circle behind BOO, and the star on the wand.  We also used the new Spider Web doily.  I just love these!  And, they come 24 in a package for only $4.50.

The idea for the last project has been around for a while.  It’s a “sour cream container” treat bag, and uses the A Little Something stamp set.   Ink color:  Basic Black Archival Ink.  CS:  Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Whisper White.  Trick or Treat is colored with the Pumpkin Pie marker, and it’s tied up with Basic Black bakers twine.
