Today, I’m hopping with my friends from Australia again. We are sharing ideas for the Sale-a-bration DSP (Designer Series Paper). You can get this paper FREE with a qualifying order!
I love using DSP!! It is so beautiful. But, it makes me sad when it’s double sided, and I have to choose a side to show. Sometimes it’s really hard to decide because both sides are so pretty.
Today, I decided NOT to make a choice, so I’ve designed two projects for you, and as you can see, BOTH sides of the DSP get to shine.
Both cards use the Paper Blooms DSP, found on page 3 of the Sale-a-bration brochure. My first card uses the Approaching Perfection stamp set, which is also FREE with a qualifying order and can be found on page 6 of the Sale-a-bration brochure.
For this card, I took a rectangle of DSP and cut it from corner to corner. Then I took removeable adhesive and attached the two pieces to a piece of scrap paper, so I could cut it from corner to corner the other direction. Then, I simply flipped two of the pieces over and adhered them all to the navy panel. It’s almost like working a puzzle!
I added a bow and a heart charm for a little embellishment.
For my second card, I used the A Touch of Ink stamp set, which is another FREE option from page 12 of the Sale-a-bration brochure.
For this card, I took another rectangle panel of DSP, made a cut at the middle of the long side in 1 1/2″ toward the center, then folded both sides back to show off the back side of the DSP.
I fussy cut the butterfly and added Wink of Stella, and colored pearls using the Rococo Rose Blends.
As you can see, both of these cards use the same DSP, but I’ve shown you two different ways to use the paper, and still showcase both sides.
I hope you’ve enjoyed these projects and paper techniques. If you’re in the USA, and in need of stamping supplies or assistance, I would love to be your demonstrator.
And now, on to the rest of the hop. Let’s see what these lovely ladies have created.
