Bluegrass Stampers and the WTU

I am blessed to have a wonderful group of friends who support me, both in my business and in my personal life.  They are known as the Bluegrass Stampers, and I don’t know what I would do without them.  One of the things we do as a group, is support our local Veterans by making cards for them.

For the last ten years, I have taken boxes of Valentines to the VA Hospital in Louisville to let our Veterans know that their sacrifices are appreciated.  I received Valentines from stamping friends all over the country!  This year, we made 674 Valentines!!

For the last couple of years, in addition to taking Valentines to the VA hospital, we also took Valentines to the Warrior Transition Unit (WTU) at Fort Knox.  This is a facility that helps our wounded warriors get back to their lives.

Last week, I received a request from the WTU for cards that the soldiers could send to their friends and families.  They asked for an assortment, and especially “miss you” types of cards.  Several of the Bluegrass Stamper members stepped up immediately to make cards!  I’m just so proud of them!  I’ll be sharing some of these cards with you in future posts.

If you are interested in making cards for our Veterans and soldiers, we’ll take all the help we can get.  Just contact me, and I’ll let you know what we need.

BLOG CANDY

Now that I’m getting the hang of posting (Sue told me it was easy, and I’ve found that she’s always right….lol), I’d like to connect with some of you out there in blog land.  At the beginning of September, I will draw a name from everyone that is signed up to follow my blog by email.  I’m not sure what I’m giving away yet.  I’ll show you that in a future post.  So, sign up to follow my blog, and you’ll be entered in the drawing!

Until next time…….stay inky, my friends!

My Very First Blog Post!

Hello!

My name is Jeanne Moss, and I’m a Stampaholic.  I live in the great Commonwealth of Kentucky, and I’m a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.

I hope to use this blog to share some of my ideas and creations, stamping tips and tricks, along with information about my classes and news from Stampin’ Up!  And, who knows?  I may decide to learn something else new and make a video one day.  But, for now, I’m learning to blog!

I’ve been considering a blog for some time now, but didn’t really know where to begin.  If you’re in that boat, I recommend you contact Sue at sparkledstamps.com.  She can help you with all your blogging needs, and she is truly a pleasure to work with.

Here’s a picture of me at a craft fair last weekend.

I hope to connect with all you stampers out there!  I welcome your input.

Until next time…… stay inky, my friends!
