Christmas Card Class #7

The final card from my Christmas Card Classes.  We made three each of three designs, plus one bonus project in each class.  This card uses the Cozy Christmas and Sparkly Seasons stamp set.

Cozy Christmas

The base card is made of Real Red CS.

I used my paper saving technique once again on this card.  We cut the white circle from the bottom left area of the white panel using the Seasonal Frame Thinlit Die, and punched a 2 1/2″ circle from the Smoky Slate panel.

The greeting from Cozy Christmas is stamped in the upper right corner in Real Red.  A strip of DSP from the Merry Moments pack is adhered to the white panel, covering the circle we cut out for the snowglobe.  The white panel is adhered to the Smoky Slate panel, covering the whole we punched.  A piece of silver satin ribbon is placed across the front and adhered to the back of the smoky slate panel.

We stamped the cabin from Cozy Christmas onto the white circle.  The snow from the Sparkly Season set is stamped in Smoky Slate.  The white circle was adhered to the Smoky Slate circle and adhered to the card with dimensionals.  The snowglobe base from Sparkly Seasons is stamped onto a scrap of Real Red CS, fussy cut, and adhered with dimensionals.

Using the 2-way glue pen, we randomly dotted the snow, the cabin roof, and the snow beneath the cabin, and sprinkled on Dazzling Diamonds.

Until next time…….stay inky, my friends!

Christmas Card Class #6

In my last post, I showed you a simple, yet elegant card using the Wonderland stamp set.  I punched a Very Vanilla circle out of that card, and used it to make this card.

Reason for the Season

Here’s the fixin’s!

The base card is made from Very Vanilla CS.  A Garden Green panel was embossed with the Boughs and Berries TIEF, and attached to the front of the base card.  A Cherry Cobbler strip was attached across the center of the card.

The poinsettia stamp is from the Reason for the Season stamp set.  It’s a three-step stamp.  On a scrap of Very Vanilla, I first stamped the outline in Early Espresso.  Then I stamped the leaves in Garden Green, and the petals in Cherry Cobbler.  I love that it adds all the color by simply stamping different stamps in different colors!

I took the circle cut from my last card and stamped the greeting in Garden Green.  The circle and poinsettia are adhered with dimensionals.  Add a gold cord bow, and you’re finished!

Until next time……..stay inky, my friends!

Christmas Card Class #5

One of the cards from my afternoon Christmas Card Classes.  In these classes, we made three each of three cards, plus a bonus project.  This is one of my favorites….. simple, yet elegant.

Wonderland

Here’s the fixin’s!

The card base is Very Vanilla.  We took a separate panel of Very Vanilla and punched a 2 1/2″ circle in the top center, and stamped Silent Night in Mossy Meadow at the bottom right.  We then embossed the panel with the Softly Falling TIEF, leaving the bottom inch or so of the panel out of the folder to emboss only the top 2/3rds or so of the panel.

We centered the panel onto the base card, and taking a pencil, put tiny marks inside the punched circle, to mark the area for stamping.  We removed the panel and stamped the trees from Wonderland in Mossy Meadow into the pencil-marked area on the base card.  Snowflakes are stamped in Sahara Sand around the trees.

Gold satin ribbon is wrapped around the layer and tied with a bit of the Gold Metallic Bakers Twine.

The panel is adhered to the base card with dimensionals and a couple of gold sequins were added.

The supplies for this card are available for purchase by clicking on the shopping basket.  And, if you’re in the Fort Knox/Elizabethtown, KY area, I’d love to see you in one of my classes.

If you’re interested in becoming a demonstrator, I’d love to have you on my team!

Until next time……..stay inky, my friends!
