More WTU Cards

As promised, I’m showing you more of the cards that were donated to the Warrior Transition Unit at Fort Knox for the soldiers to send to their friends and families.

These were donated by Pat.  Her sister, Nancy, and a friend also helped with these beautiful cards.

The next cards were donated by Cathy.  Who would have thought to put maple seeds, aka whirligigs, on a card?

And, these are from my friend in California, Helen, who got us started on this journey!

And, here’s another picture of Janet, who helped by sorting cards while I took pictures!

Thank you, everyone, for your hard work to let the wounded soldiers know we appreciate them!

Until next time……stay inky, my friends!

A big THANK YOU to everyone who donated cards for this project!!

Below are a few of the cards that were delivered, and I’ll be posting more later.

These three cards are some of the ones donated by Donna.  Aren’t they lovely?

It’s still taking me quite a bit of time to get photos re-sized and watermarked, so I’ll be posting more later.

Until then…..stay inky my friends!

August Cards and More

Last weekend was our August Cards and More Class.  In this class we make nine cards, three each of three designs, plus a bonus project.

This month’s class used cards I either made, or swapped for, at the Stampin’ Up! convention in July.

Aug CAM1

This beautiful card was a swap from Angi Hayes.  It uses the Flower Patch Bundle and the new Fluttering TIEF (Textured Impressions Embossing Folder).

Aug CAM3

This was another swap from Karen Page.  It uses the Big News stamp set, Oval Framelits, and the Cherry on Top DSP (Designer Series Paper).

Aug CAM2

Our last card, and my personal favorite, is from a shoebox swap with one of my best buds, Sue Parker.  It uses the Gorgeous Grunge and Hello Life stamp sets, Circle Framelits, and the Tree Builder Punch for the “seeds”.  How cute and refreshing is this!

Lastly, our bonus project, designed by me, is a simple little tag.  It uses the Beautiful Bunch and Awesomely Artistic stamp sets.  This tag was inspired by my 91 year old dad, who lives with us, and planted sunflower seeds he had picked from the bird feeder.

I hope you enjoyed seeing what we’ve been doing in class.

Until next time…….stay inky, my friends!
