Christmas Card Class #8

This was our bonus project from the afternoon Christmas Card Classes.  This is a CASE from the fabulous Patty Bennett.  I changed it up a bit by using the Snow Place Bundle.  It’s made from a Kraft Tag a Bag Gift Bag.  A to/from card slips inside the bag, while a Gift Card fits in the pocket of the fold.

Snow Place Gift Card Holder

Here’s the fixin’s!

Score the gift bag 3″ from the bottom of the bag.  Fold the bottom up.  Stamp the greeting on the right hand side of the bottom flap, which has been folded up in Mossy Meadow.  Wrap a 1 1/2″ x 10 1/2″ strip of Merry Moments DSP around the bag, adhering so that the “seam” will be behind the penguin.  Tie a piece of Real Red satin ribbon (from the Clearance Rack) above the DSP.

Take a 4″ square piece of Real Red CS.  Punch two adjacent corners with the Curvy Corner Trio Punch.  Stamp the words from the Oh, What Fun stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black.

On a white scrap, stamp the penguin in Memento Tuxedo Black, and color the beak and feet with a Tangelo Twist Marker.  Stamp the candy cane and Santa hat in Real Red.  Cut all three with the matching framelit dies, and adhere with dimensionals.

Christmas Card Class #7

The final card from my Christmas Card Classes.  We made three each of three designs, plus one bonus project in each class.  This card uses the Cozy Christmas and Sparkly Seasons stamp set.

Cozy Christmas

The base card is made of Real Red CS.

I used my paper saving technique once again on this card.  We cut the white circle from the bottom left area of the white panel using the Seasonal Frame Thinlit Die, and punched a 2 1/2″ circle from the Smoky Slate panel.

The greeting from Cozy Christmas is stamped in the upper right corner in Real Red.  A strip of DSP from the Merry Moments pack is adhered to the white panel, covering the circle we cut out for the snowglobe.  The white panel is adhered to the Smoky Slate panel, covering the whole we punched.  A piece of silver satin ribbon is placed across the front and adhered to the back of the smoky slate panel.

We stamped the cabin from Cozy Christmas onto the white circle.  The snow from the Sparkly Season set is stamped in Smoky Slate.  The white circle was adhered to the Smoky Slate circle and adhered to the card with dimensionals.  The snowglobe base from Sparkly Seasons is stamped onto a scrap of Real Red CS, fussy cut, and adhered with dimensionals.

Using the 2-way glue pen, we randomly dotted the snow, the cabin roof, and the snow beneath the cabin, and sprinkled on Dazzling Diamonds.

Christmas Card Class #6

In my last post, I showed you a simple, yet elegant card using the Wonderland stamp set.  I punched a Very Vanilla circle out of that card, and used it to make this card.

Reason for the Season

Here’s the fixin’s!

The base card is made from Very Vanilla CS.  A Garden Green panel was embossed with the Boughs and Berries TIEF, and attached to the front of the base card.  A Cherry Cobbler strip was attached across the center of the card.

The poinsettia stamp is from the Reason for the Season stamp set.  It’s a three-step stamp.  On a scrap of Very Vanilla, I first stamped the outline in Early Espresso.  Then I stamped the leaves in Garden Green, and the petals in Cherry Cobbler.  I love that it adds all the color by simply stamping different stamps in different colors!

I took the circle cut from my last card and stamped the greeting in Garden Green.  The circle and poinsettia are adhered with dimensionals.  Add a gold cord bow, and you’re finished!

The supplies for this card are available for purchase by clicking on my shopping basket!  Or, if you’re interested in becoming a demonstrator, I’d love to have you on my team!

Until next time……..stay inky, my friends!
