Note for a Friend

One of the ladies from my Bible Study group is participating in a mission trip.  Our group leader asked each of us to write a note of encouragement that she could take with her on the trip.  I really wasn’t sure what to write, so I thought I’d do what I do best, create something cute for her.

This is made using “vintage” Designer Series Paper, the Envelope Punch Board, and the Papillion Potpourri stamp set.

I hope she enjoyed receiving this as much as I enjoyed making it for her.

The Wilderness Awaits

Last year, when I went to the Stampin’ Up! Convention in Salt Lake City, UT, I attended classes presented by a group of demonstrators called Stamp Across America.  It was a lot of fun!  They had two classes that used the same stamp sets, so if you attended both, you had two different samples for the same set.

One of the sets used was The Wilderness Awaits, and these were the two cards we created.  I used these cards for one of my Cards and More classes.  We made three of these in the class.

In addition to making nine cards in the class (three each of three designs), we made a bonus project.  This card was our bonus project.  We used the painters tape technique to make the background.

I can’t take credit for the design of either of these cards, but they were a hit in my class.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

First Sight

One of my favorite stamp sets from the Occasions catalog is the First Sight set.  It’s so lovely.

I also love making these sweet little treats.  They hold a Hershey’s Nugget and are so easy to make.  Simply cut a piece of cardstock to 2″ X 6″, score at 2 3/8″ from each end, then punch both ends using one of our tag topper punches (I used the Ornate TTP), fold on the score lines, and decorate as desired.  Tape the nugget inside, bring the tag ends together and secure with ribbon or twine, or even both as I did!  Easy Peasy!
