First Sight Mother’s Day

Today is Memorial Day and before I get to the card I’m sharing today, I’d like to say Thank You to all of our service members and veterans.  I’d also like to take a moment to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.  I am truly grateful for the freedoms I enjoy because of them.

Today, I’m sharing a card from my library class.  Each month, we make two quick and easy projects.  The class is early in the month, so this month we made a Mother’s Day card.

Wednesday will be the last day to order this stamp set, so if you like it, order it soon!

Stamps:  First Sight, Oh So Succulent

Cardstock:  Smoky Slate, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White

Ink:  Smoky Slate, Melon Mambo, Basic Gray

Punch:  Sweetheart

Other:  Melon Mambo Stitched Satin Ribbon (vintage), Silver Metallic Thread, Basic Rhinestone

This will also make a lovely valentine.  I can’t wait to use this design for my Valentines for Veterans project!

Until next time…..stay inky, my friends!

Sweet Stack and Cutie Pie

This month, we made a cake for our Cards & More bonus project.  Not a real one….. a gift box made of cardstock.  You can use these separately, or put eight of them together for a whole cake.  I made my sample a week before class, and every time I looked at it sitting there, it made me really hungry for chocolate cake!  It really does look that yummy.

This is another set of stamps and dies that will be gone at the end of May.  There are SO many cute projects you can make with this set.  If you don’t believe me, just look at Pinterest.

Stamps:  Sweet Stack

Cardstock:  Chocolate Chip, Blushing Bride, Very Vanilla

Ink:  Chocolate Chip

Dies:  Cutie Pie Thinlits

Other:  Lovely Lace TIEF, Basic Pearl

So, what do you think?  Does it make you hungry for chocolate cake, too?

Perfect Mix

The Occasions Catalog has some cute products that I haven’t had a chance to use.  One of those products is the Perfect Mix stamp set.  It has cute kitchen images.  In addition to the measuring spoons, oven mitt, and spatula, there’s also a grater, a mixer, a mixing bowl, and a dozen eggs.  If you like this set, be sure to order quickly.  All retiring stamps are now WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.
