New Magnetic Cutting Plate

One of my favorite things about Stampin’ Up! (in addition to their color coordination) is their commitment to quality. Stampin’ Up! will not sell inferior products. The Magnetic Cutting Plate is the perfect example.

Case in Point

When the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine was introduced, there was also a Magnetic Cutting Plate. If you’ve ever used a magnetic plate, you know just how much difference it can make when precision cutting is required.

But the plate just didn’t cut it! I know that’s “punny”, but in reality, my first cutting plate was seriously warped and unusable after only one set of monthly classes. Demonstrators everywhere rose the alarm and Stampin’ Up! quickly pulled this item from their stock and went back to the drawing board.

We Have a Winner!

With the new 2022-2023 Annual Catalog, Stampin’ Up! has released a NEW AND IMPROVED Magnetic Cutting Plate!

Such An Improvement

The New Magnetic Cutting Plate is so much better than the previous one. I’ve taken a few photos of mine.

As you can see from the first and second photos, the old Magnetic Plate was backed with some type of vinyl or plastic, while the new Magnetic Plate is backed with metal.

In the third photo, you can see the old plate is quite warped, while the new plate is still flat even after being used in several classes.

And, in the final photo, you can see that the magnet is strong enough to hold an image in place, even when standing on its edge.

Important Info!

Please note that the instructions in the Magnetic Plate packaging are incorrect and are being changed. It does NOT affect your Magnetic Plate and is NOT printed on the plate itself. The instructions did not take into account the extra thickness of the New Magnetic Plate. Here’s the corrected information!

Such a Pretty Face

If you’re wondering about the pretty deer in that last photo, her name is Charlie. Charlie got caught in a fence and broke her leg. She was rescued by Nolin River Wildlife. She was rehabbed and released back into nature. If you’d like more information on this great organization, you can find them HERE.
