Last Minute Christmas Cards

If you’re anything like me, once Halloween hits, the time just gets away from you. That’s when those ideas for last minute Christmas cards really come in handy.

Fragrant Forest

The Fragrant Forest background stamp is the perfect choice for a Last Minute Christmas Card. You pretty much just need to add a greeting and you’re finished.

Instructions

  1. Cut Shaded Spruce cardstock to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score on the long side at 4 1/4 to make your card base.
  2. Cut a panel of Basic White to 4 x 5 1/4 and stamp Fragrant Forest in Shaded Spruce*. Attach panel to card base with Stampin’ Seal.
  3. Cut a Real Red strip 1″ x 4″. Attach across bottom area of tree panel.
  4. Stamp Merry Christmas in Shaded Spruce on a scrap of Basic White and cut it with the coordinating label die. Attach to card with Dimensionals.
  5. Tie a double bow of Linen Thread onto left side of label.
  6. Embellish with Rhinestone Basic Jewels colored with Real Red Blends.

*Tip: For these large background stamps, I find it easier to lay the stamp rubber side up and pat with my ink pad until well covered. Then carefully place white panel on top of stamp, cover with a piece of scrap paper and holding it carefully in position, rub all over.
