Hello friends! If you thought I fell of the face of the earth you’re pretty much right.
In May, I began having side and back pain that was mis-diagnosed as kidney infection. At the end of May, I landed in the ER with bleeding (that a woman my age SHOULD NOT be having). A CT scan revealed that my kidneys were fine, but my uterus “looked funny” (the doctor’s words).
A subsequent OBGYN appointment and biopsy revealed endometrial cancer. After meeting with an OBGYN Oncologist at Brown Cancer Center in Louisville and an MRI, I was scheduled for a complete hysterectomy, and after six weeks of healing time, I began radiation treatments, 5 days a week for 6 weeks.

I’ll be the first to admit that the diagnosis of cancer and the radiation really threw me for a loop, and I basically just shut down for four months. But I’ve completed the treatments and spent the last three weeks recuperating on a Southwest Road Trip. I’m feeling almost normal again, so here I am. My follow-up appointment is on Halloween, and we’ll see what’s next.
I certainly have a lot to catch up on, so bear with me as I get back up to date!
Thank you to all of you who’ve supported me on this unexpected and quite scary journey. I appreciate you all so much!
Oh, Jeanne, I had no idea! Of course my prayers are always with you. I’m so glad you’re back and feeling better.
I’ve had some health issues, myself. We need to catch up.
So glad you are back healthy, and happy. God has plans for you.
Welcome back! Hugs!
So glad you’re back🤗❤️
Oh, Jeanie, I’m so sorry to hear about your ordeal. I know it had to be terrifying. If you need anything or I could help in any way (or if you just need to vent), please don’t hesitate to reach out.
