but, I also hate Kentucky. We have something here in the Ohio Valley that we call the Kentucky Crud. I get it a couple of times each year. Stuffy head, runny nose, sneezing, and coughing. Not polite little coughs, but hacking, horrible coughs. And, it seems like the cough hangs on for weeks. Anyway, I’m struggling with a bout of the Kentucky Crud right now. So, I’ve been lying around in my PJs all day doing nothing. No stamping for me today, but I do have a card to share.
This is one of our Stamp Club projects from this month.
Here are the fixin’s:
The card base is Soft Suede CS (cardstock) (5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, folded in half). The panel is Crumb Cake CS (3 3/4″ x 5′).
The leaves and greeting are from the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set in the Holiday catalog. I love this set, especially because it works with the same framelits as the Vintage Leaves stamp set, which I’ll be showcasing in another post later this week.
The two larger leaves and the greeting are stamped directly on the panel in Archival Basic Black. The smaller leaf is stamped on a crumb cake scrap, colored with the white chalk marker, and cut out with the framelits. Gold cord was added to the back of the leaf and it is popped up with a dimensional.
Sprinkle a few gold sequins, and you’re finished!
Tomorrow, I’ll show you how to add a couple of details to step this card up a notch.
All the products used in this project are from Stampin’ Up! If you’d like to order any of them, please visit my online store by clicking on the shopping basket!
Until then…..stay inky, my friends!
Thanks for all the photos of the beautiful cards!
You’re welcome, Deb!
