Hello Stampin’ Friends!
I’m sorry I’ve been MIA so long. I’ve had a lot going on in my personal life. I’m not going to bore you with all that, but I’ve also been struggling with email issues. I’m trying to get that resolved by switching to a new email program, but there’s a learning curve, and I’m not the quick learner I used to be!
I sent out the list of items retiring from the Annual and Occasions catalogs, but I’ve gotten messages that some didn’t receive it, so I am re-sending it, but I’m also linking them here for you.
The Occasions Catalog retiring list is here.
The Annual Catalog retiring list is here.
I’ve been getting a lot of questions about these lists. Be sure to read the legend at the bottom of the list. I know the list is confusing, but here are some notes.
The 2016-18 In-Colors are retiring, so be sure to get anything you need in those colors. Those are Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Peekaboo Peach, and Sweet Sugarplum (note that only the Flirty Flamingo stamp pad is on the list….more on that later)
SU is also re-vamping their color line. Thirteen of the regular colors are also retiring, so get any refills, cardstock, ribbons, etc. that you need in these colors.
The colors retiring are: chocolate chip, tangerine tango, tempting turquoise, pink pirouette, wild wasabi, soft sky, marina mist, wisteria wonder, rose red, always artichoke, island indigo, perfect plum, and elegant eggplant. These colors will be gone.
This will make room for some of the old in-colors and some brand new colors to join the regular line (remember Flirty Flamingo above….hint, hint)
SU is also retiring Archival Basic Black and Archival Basic Gray. I don’t know why because I love both of these. If you need them, or refills, get them now. They will be gone.
Now, here’s where it gets confusing. SU is changing the ink pad cases, so ALL the ink pads are on the retiring list. This doesn’t mean all these colors are retiring, just that they are changing the cases and getting rid of all the old cases. If you have these ink pads, they are fine! If you don’t, don’t worry about it, you’ll be able to get these colors in the new and improved cases.
SU is also changing the formula for the ink refills. They are adding an agent to keep the ink from foaming, because of issues with tiny bubbles on new ink pads. If you have refills, they are fine!
* means the retiring stamp set is a host set, and can still only be purchased with Stampin’ Rewards.
** means only part of the bundle is retiring. An example is the Truly Tailored Bundle in the Occasions Catalog. The Stamp Set is retiring, but the punch will be in the new catalog with new stamps.
*** means ONLY the bundle is retiring. The stamps and dies will be available in the new catalog, but they will not be offered in a bundle. They will be sold separately.
The two little plus signs, which I don’t know how to re-create here (LOL) are items that are being reconfigured, like the stamp pads. They will still be available in the new catalog, but in a new version.
Hopefully, this will help with some of the confusion. Please let me know if you have any questions.
