I wanted to make nice Thank You cards for some special people, but I needed something simple because I needed several cards. The Seashell Embossing Folder was the perfect answer!
I embossed a 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel of Sahara Sand with the Seashell Embossing Folder. I positioned a piece of ribbon across the front and taped it on the back of the panel, and added it to a Sahara Sand card base with dimensionals. I then tied a bow onto the ribbon with linen thread. Since my ribbon was not adhered on the front of the card, I could slip the bow along the ribbon for perfect placement.
I punched a scrap of vanilla with the Double Oval Punch and stamped the sentiment in Sahara Sand, along with the starfish (stamped off once). I layered it onto a scalloped Sahara Sand oval from the same punch, and the ovals are attached over the ribbon with dimensionals. I added three different sized pearls randomly to embellish.
I wanted to leave these cards blank so my recipients could reuse the card and add their own message, so I simply added a stamped shell (stamped off once). My message was written on an insert enclosed in the card.
Once I decided on my design, it didn’t take long for me to make another dozen of these cards, assembly line style.
My recipients seem to have enjoyed them! I hope you do, too.
Please comment below if you have questions or comments. And, if you need any of these supplies, I’d love to be your demonstrator!
