Freshly Brewed Projects – Tags and Labels

Today I am participating in a Blog Hop with talented friends from “down under”.

Tags and labels aren’t just for sentiments!  This week, we are sharing different ways to add tags or labels to your projects.

Stampin’ Up! offers so many nice tag and label punches and dies that it was hard to choose what to use.  I finally decided on the Trio of Tags dies, but I used them in a non-traditional way.

I chose the tag that has the scalloped end with three holes.  I used a slightly larger strip of Crumb Cake cardstock, and cut only one end of the tag.  I did that by rolling it into my cutting machine only far enough to cut one end and then backing it out (see picture below).  I then used my paper trimmer to cut both sides of the tags to the length I wanted.  I made two of these, embossed them with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, then adhered them to the front of the card as shown, and tied them together with braided linen trim.

Here’s the fixin’s:

  1. Lovely card, Jeanne. I love that tag closure on cards and had forgotten about it. Thanks for the reminder. Thank you also for joining us this week and for sharing your lovely project
