I’m joining the lovely ladies from Australia again this week for the Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop!
This week’s theme is frames, and I can’t wait to see how everyone interprets this in their project. I decided to share a project I’ll be teaching in a Halloween Décor class this Saturday. We’ll be using the Ghoulish Goodies Stamp Set, along with a few things from the Magic In This Night Suite.
The frame is 9 x 9. Our artwork is 8 x 8 (Cajun Craze) layered onto the white mat that came with the frame. I remove the glass from the frame and place it behind the mat to add stability, and if I want to use the frame for something else later, I don’t have to look for the glass!
The black cat’s eyes, nose and collar are colored with Stampin’ Blends, and there’s a small clear rhinestone tag on his collar.
The bats are cut from black cardstock and painted with Wink of Stella for added sparkle.
A small square of Rich Razzleberry cardstock is embossed with the Cobwebs 3D Embossing Folder, and the spider is colored with Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends. The silver cord is a vintage product.
I’m excited to have this class and let everyone add a little spookiness to their homes this Halloween.
Here’s the fixin’s:
- Libby Dyson
- Leonie Schroder
- Debbie Yeomans
- Jeanne Moss You Are Here!
Wow, this is great, Jeanne. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Libby! I don’t think Halloween is as big in Australia as it is here in the USA. I have friends who consider Halloween the BEST holiday, so I try to do something fun for them.
wow … what a ‘treat’ this class will be! I love doing framed items like this but we dont do halloween here much. Will have to think of something ….. Love your project my friend and thanks for joining me this week.
Thanks, Leonie! I love being a part of your group. Thanks for letting me participate!
