It’s another Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop, and today’s hop features notecards. I used the Flowing Flowers stamp set to make these simple cards.
Flowing Flowers Notecards
When I saw the theme for this hop, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to make. I’d just finished cutting for my upcoming stamp club and had these scraps of DSP (designer series paper) on my desk. So, that decided my color combination for the project! Next, I looked through my new stamp sets to see what I hadn’t used yet. Hence, the Flowing Flowers Notecard was born.
Details
As you can see, this image is rich in color. To get this color, I first inked the flower portion of the stamp on my Pale Papaya ink pad. Next, I took a dauber and added Flirty Flamingo ink directly to my stamp in the center of the flower and on the speckles. I then added Pear Pizzazz ink directly to the leaves of the stamp with a separate dauber.
Now what? I had all this pretty color on my stamp, so I took a deep breath and breathed directly onto the inked stamp to remoisten any ink that had dried and immediately stamped my image onto the white panel.
I needed some bling (who doesn’t need more bling in their life?) so I added our Rhinestone Basic Jewels. Although these look like gold embellishments, they are actually basic clear rhinestones colored with Pale Papaya Blends.
Flowing Flowers is a great stamp set to use for notecards. Not only does it have beautiful images, but it has several greetings for all occasions.
