This year is flying by! Can you believe it’s already March and almost time to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day?! Today’s card is designed to bring you a little luck of the Irish using the Flowers of Friendship Bundle and A Wish for Everything stamp set.
No shamrocks, no problem!
I couldn’t find a single shamrock stamp in either of our current catalogs. But I did find a stamp and punch to make lucky four-leaf clovers. And, if you prefer a three-leaf shamrock, you can trim out one of the petals, and it works perfectly.
It’s Ok to be Square
This card starts with a Garden Green card base of 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″. I scored at 4 1/4″ to create a square card that will still fit in a regular medium envelope.
Next, I cut a Basic White panel 3 5/8″ x 3 5/8″ and embossed it with the Tasteful Textile embossing folder. I placed a 1/2 strip across the bottom right corner and trimmed to fit. Next, I glued a 4″ length of Gold Shimmer Ribbon across the Garden Green strip and secured it on the back.
The circles are cut using the Layering Circles Dies and the now retired (sorry) Stitched Shapes. But don’t worry, you can use the same size die from the Layering Circles. I stamped the greeting with Garden Green Ink and adhered it to the card front with Dimensionals.
Next, I stamped and punched the four-leaf clovers (aka flowers) in Garden Green on Garden Green. I adhered these with mini Dimensionals and glue to the card front.
Finally, I finished off with a little bling using the Gilded Gems.
