Happy Birthday To You Champagne

The Happy Birthday To You stamp set is another one you can earn FREE with a $50 order during Sale-a-bration.  I didn’t think I needed this set until I saw the coordinating dies you can purchase.  That cake stand is so pretty!  And, there are two dies for the flowers….. one cuts out the cake with the flowers, and the other cuts out only the flowers, so you can layer them or use them separately.

I also used one of the frames from the Heirloom Frames Dies and 3D Embossing Folders set.  It is spritzed with a mixture of alcohol and Champagne Shimmer paint to give it a beautiful sparkle.  The cake stand is cut from Champagne Foil, the Petal Pink Ribbon has a Champagne edge, and the flowers are painted with Wink of Stella after coloring, giving this card a lot of sparkle!  If you can’t see it, trust me, it’s there!

Here’s the fixin’s:

Special Celebrations Wedding Shower

I recently attended a wedding shower for a sweet young couple from my church.  I wanted to make them a special handmade card, but as usual, I was looking for an idea at the last minute!  When I looked at the bag I’d purchased for the gift, I was inspired to make a card to match.

Here’s a close up of the card.

Stamps:  Special Celebrations

Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black

Cardstock:  Very Vanilla Note Card and Envelope, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Gold Foil

Punch:  3/4” Circle

Other:  Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

I was really pleased with the result.  What do you think?

Sweet Stack and Cutie Pie

This month, we made a cake for our Cards & More bonus project.  Not a real one….. a gift box made of cardstock.  You can use these separately, or put eight of them together for a whole cake.  I made my sample a week before class, and every time I looked at it sitting there, it made me really hungry for chocolate cake!  It really does look that yummy.

This is another set of stamps and dies that will be gone at the end of May.  There are SO many cute projects you can make with this set.  If you don’t believe me, just look at Pinterest.

Stamps:  Sweet Stack

Cardstock:  Chocolate Chip, Blushing Bride, Very Vanilla

Ink:  Chocolate Chip

Dies:  Cutie Pie Thinlits

Other:  Lovely Lace TIEF, Basic Pearl

So, what do you think?  Does it make you hungry for chocolate cake, too?
