Tuesday Tidbit – 3D Stars

Independence Day will be here before you know it!

In today’s Tuesday Tidbit, I’d like to share a quick tutorial on making 3D stars.  These are easy to make, and you can add them to your Fourth of July Projects, or any project.

Donuts for the Veterans

One of the things my stamping group does is support our local veterans center in Radcliff, KY (RVC).  Once a month or so, we take handmade cards and help the residents send them to their friends and family members.

We also do other things like volunteer at some of their activities and events.  We’ve found out that our veterans really like their sweets!  So, some of us got together and made them each a cute little powdered donut snowman.

I have the best friends ever, and they are so generous with their time and talent!  They just don’t know how much I appreciate them!

Me, Kim, Nan, Janet and 75 little edible snowmen!

THANK YOU, LADIES!!

Veterans Fourth of July Project

Do you know what 90 pinwheel tabletop decorations look like?  Well, here’s a picture!

Last week, a few of us got together to make decorations for our local VA Center.  Each resident will get one of these to decorate their room for Independence Day.  The pinwheels are from a Paper Pumpkin kit from 2014, so I’ve had these in my closet for a while.

.

Yes, it was a lot of work, but thanks to these lovely ladies, it went quickly.  The lady in the middle, my good friend Nancy, came up with this cute idea, and provided everything but the pinwheels.  Thanks, Nan!

If you have free time, I highly recommend reaching out to your local VA Center, to see if there are ways you can help show our veterans how much we appreciate them.

God Bless the USA and those veterans and active duty service members who defend her!!
