Storybook Moments Spring Treat

Storybook Moments Sweet Treat

I’m so happy to see signs of Spring everywhere, aren’t you? So, today’s project is a Storybook Moments Sweet Spring Treat that I designed and created.

Storybook Moments Suite Collection

For this sweet treat, I’m using products from the Storybook Moments Suite Collection. I love using Suites because everything is already coordinated for you and you just can’t go wrong.

I call this a MEGA Suite because it has TWO stamp and die bundles, plus TWO different DSP (Designer Series Paper) packs, along with ribbon and embellishments. Throw in some coordinating cardstock and you’re all set to make beautiful projects!

This is a tiny little treat and contains a chocolate carrot. I found the candy at my local dollar store in a mesh bag of eight. I thought they’d make a perfect Spring treat.

  • On both of the long sides, cut each score line up to the first intersecting score line.  Cut away the four corner sections.  Wedge the edges of the four small flaps and the flap on the end.  Use the smallest Perennial Postage die to cut a window in the 1 ¼” section.  See picture below.

Cow Tales Treat Free Tutorial

Need a fun little treat for your family, friends, or your child’s class? This Cow Tales Treat is fairly easy to make and doesn’t require a lot of supplies. I found the Cow Tales candy at my local dollar store. They are the mini size and are perfect for this packaging.

Here’s How it’s Made

Cut a piece of Night of Navy cardstock to 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.  This is a quarter of a sheet, so you can make four treats with one sheet of cardstock.

Score on short side at ½”.  Score on long side at ½”, 2 ½”, 3”, and 5”.

With the lengthwise score line at the bottom, use Paper Snips to cut up from the bottom edge to the ½” score line on all four score lines.  Cut out the bottom left square only.  Then snip each side of the two small flaps at an angle to make assembly easier.  Also snip the bottom edge of the left flap at an angle.  (See picture below).

Add DSP to the large section on the right side.  Punch or die cut a half circle at the top of this same section, cutting both cardstock and DSP layers.

Fold on all score lines. Use glue or Tear N Tape adhesive to adhere the long ½” side flap with the angle cut INSIDE the long flap on the other side of the box.

For the bottom – fold small flaps in, then back flap, and adhere the front flap over these to create a nice folded edge.

Decorate as desired.

I used the Cutest Cows stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored with Basic Black and Petal Pink Blends, and punched with the Cow Builder Punch.  I tied red ribbon around the box.  My DSP is from the Delightfully Eclectic 12” x 12” pack.

Adorable Owls Tootsie Pop Treat

Adorable Owls Tootsie Pop Treat

I may be telling my age, but when I first saw this cute set of owls, it took me right back to my childhood and watching cartoons on Saturday mornings. One of the commercials was an owl trying to find out how many licks it took to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop. I don’t think he ever made it past three licks before crunching into the sucker! Does anyone else remember this commercial? I knew I had to create this Adorable Owls Tootsie Pop Treat!
