Freshly Brewed Projects – Trees

Today is Blog Hop Day with my friends from Australia.  Our theme this week is Trees.  I can’t wait to see what everyone creates!

For my project, I used the Most Wonderful Time Product Medley on page 7 of the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog.

I love the Medley because it includes SO MUCH coordinated product.  Stamps, dies, DSP (Designer Series Paper), Trim, Embellishments.  The only thing I had to add was the cardstock, ink and red jewels!

This photo shows the top of the card, so you can see how it’s constructed.  This fold is called a Triple Cube Pop-Up, and I will be teaching it to my stampers soon during a Friday Fun Fold class on Zoom.

This is what the card looks like when it’s folded and ready to be mailed.  It will fit in one of our regular medium envelopes!  How cool is that!

I hope you enjoyed this project!  Now, click on the links below to visit the ladies “down under” and see what they’re up to this week.

Freshly Brewed Blog Hop – I’ve been framed!!

I’m joining the lovely ladies from Australia again this week for the Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop!

This week’s theme is frames, and I can’t wait to see how everyone interprets this in their project.  I decided to share a project I’ll be teaching in a Halloween Décor class this Saturday.  We’ll be using the Ghoulish Goodies Stamp Set, along with a few things from the Magic In This Night Suite.

The frame is 9 x 9.  Our artwork is 8 x 8 (Cajun Craze) layered onto the white mat that came with the frame.  I remove the glass from the frame and place it behind the mat to add stability, and if I want to use the frame for something else later, I don’t have to look for the glass!

The black cat’s eyes, nose and collar are colored with Stampin’ Blends, and there’s a small clear rhinestone tag on his collar.

The bats are cut from black cardstock and painted with Wink of Stella for added sparkle.

A small square of Rich Razzleberry cardstock is embossed with the Cobwebs 3D Embossing Folder, and the spider is colored with Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends. The silver cord is a vintage product.

I’m excited to have this class and let everyone add a little spookiness to their homes this Halloween.

Here’s the fixin’s:

I hope you’ve enjoyed this project.  Be sure to follow the links below to see what the other ladies did with frames!

Wicked!!

Sometimes you just need to make something a little different!  I love making small pieces of art to decorate my home, or gift to a friend.

We made this little work of art in Stamp Club using the Wonderfully Wicked bundle.  And look closely!  That cat has rhinestone eyes!
