Happy 4th of July! I hope you’re having a great day with family and/or friends! We celebrated on Saturday, so today was a quiet day for us. I can never get enough of those! Here’s a red, white and blue project for you today, with the Christmas Scottie Bundle, proving that you can make those Christmas stamp sets work for other seasons!

New Mini Catalog!

JD 2022 Mini

I’m so excited to introduce a new catalogue with new products that we can add to our collection! Among all the beautiful festive bundles in the new July-August Mini-Catalogue is the cute Christmas Scottie Bundle.

Christmas Scottie

The Photopolymer Stamp Set features three Scottie Dogs in different poses and a selection of bows, ribbons, presents, and snowflakes. The stamp set also includes a tartan stamp. It can be used as a background, a rug or blanket, or to create tartan Scottie dogs!

The coordinating punch matches the standing dog image and the larger of the bows. As well as punching out the stamped image, you can also create fun, bold dogs in a variety of patterns by punching dogs from Designer Series Paper.

(Not) Christmas Scottie Card

Christmas Scottie 1

Helen created this fun red, white and blue card by punching two Scottie Dogs from Basic White cardstock. She flipped one of the dogs over, then stamped both dogs with the Tartan stamp. Using Cherry Cobbler and Night of Navy ink, she stamped one in each colour.

Next, she cut a Deckled Rectangle from Basic White and stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink. The two dogs are adhered to the rectangle facing each other. Each dog was given a bow of the opposite colour. She coloured Silver Metallic Edge Cotton Ribbon with a Night of Navy marker and wrapped it around the base of the rectangle. Finally, she used a smaller piece to create a knot.

The Details

Christmas Scottie Detail

Helen embossed a larger Cherry Cobbler Deckled Rectangle with the Gingham Embossing Folder. She adhered the Basic White layer to the Cherry Cobbler layer. She randomly stamped snowflakes in Night of Navy on a Night of Navy card base and adhered the rectangles to the card base.

Finally, she stamped more Night of Navy snowflakes on a Basic White insert and added this to the inside.

This delightful Christmas Scottie bundle will make a great addition to your festive crafting supplies this year. Don’t forget to add them to your shopping list.

Stampin’ Surprise!

I recently offered a FREE Zoom event to my group of stampers.  I gave them a list of pieces they would need (with measurements), so they could have everything cut in advance.  Then, we got together on Zoom and I gave them verbal directions to stamp and assemble their cards.  They didn’t get to see a sample of what they were making, so it was a mystery card until they were finished.  I was very impressed with the cards they made!!

If you missed the card I made, you can view it here.

These are the cards made by my talented stamping friends!
