If you’ve looked closely at the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog, you’ve probably seen the shaker card on page 122. The sample uses the Clear Medium Envelopes to make a Quick & Easy shaker card front. I decided to tweak this idea a little for more dimension and we made this Cake Fancy Shaker Card in my monthly Stamp Class.
Cake Fancy Shaker Card
I know it’s hard to see in the picture, but we added three score lines with our Simply Scored Tool directly on the card front. These are just above the Designer Series Paper (DSP) for a little extra dimension.
We stamped the cake on a smaller panel and enclosed it in one of the Clear Medium envelopes, folded and taped the excess to the back of the panel (not too tightly or your shaker elements won’t move freely) and attached the shaker to our card front with Dimensionals.
Cake Fancy Shaker Inside
To make the inside stamping a bit easier in class, I attached both the Birthday Wishes stamp and the ribbon with bow stamp to a single block so they could be inked and stamped at the same time without having to line them up perfectly each time.
Cake Fancy Shaker Detail
We added a twine bow to the outside of the shaker panel with a couple of glue dots to finish this card.
