Another card from my Brusho class, this one uses two different techniques.
First, we spritzed watercolor paper and sprinkled it with the Yellow, Gamboge, and Brilliant Red crystals. We spritzed again and let this paper dry before cutting our butterfly. Using the Aquapainter, we mixed water with a little of the Gamboge then did a wash on Shimmery White cardstock to create the background.
Stamps: Watercolor Wings
Cardstock: Peekaboo Peach, Basic Black, Shimmery White
Ink: Basic Black
Paper: Watercolor
Dies: Butterflies Thinlits
Other: Brusho Crystal Colour, Aquapainter, Spritzer, Peekaboo Peach Ribbon (vintage), Basic Pearls
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you’ve enjoyed this card!
Hi Jeanne!
Love the look of the butterfly! I am loving how your class shows how to use Brusho in such a way that it gives a subtle look and not super bold and “in your face”. 🙂
Thanks, Joy! The Brusho Color Crystals are VERY intense! You have to be careful not to get too much. But, whatever you do, don’t throw ANYTHING away until it’s completely dry. I actually threw some pieces in the trash, and the next day dug them back out! LOL
